Practical information in the face of current events

I wanted to share a couple observations regarding CDC/DMV.

1. The feds are pursuing a major felony prosecution against those indicted and are not likely to be interested in a witch hunt involving every phone number and email address in the agencies records. Misdemeanor prostitution is not even their jurisdiction. Their primary interest in those on the client list is gaining evidence and securing FELONY convictions against those already indicted and other significant conspirators.

2. They just need to get a handful of guys to testify that yes, they paid for "services" and that part of their case is made. They MAY start going through the client lists, making phone calls and rattling cages. If out of 200 clients, they are able to rattle 10 guys into giving evidence or testimony, they have a pretty full quiver of arrows to fire in front of a jury. In other words, if they come after you, it will be to gain your testimony. I think a look at the Palfrey case and other similar high profile federal prosecutions will demonstrate this is their strategy. You do not want to be one of those guys.

So if you get the call, just assert that they must be mistaken, that you have nothing to tell them, and that you will assert all your rights to keep from being swept up in their investigation. Remember, any threat they make will most likely bear fruit if you DO "Cooperate." Afraid that they will out you to your spouse or employer? If you talk, you will SURELY be outed.

If you have anything to loose, you increase your risk by consenting to be interviewed and by saying ANYTHING. If they have hundreds of names on the 'list,' they are going to go after those too scared or stupid to assert their rights to exploit in order to build their case. It stands to reason that they will take  the path of least resistance to build a case. Don't be on that path.

So read up on your rights - just google 'don't talk to the police,' have the number of a reliable attorney handy just in case it get's ugly, and keep your head. They are going to walk away and pick off someone less savvy who panics.

In the immortal words of John McEnroe, "You cannot be serious!"

So let me get this straight -- you've been called by LE more than once inquiring why your name/phone #/etc shows up on an agency's records. You deftly fend them off by speaking Spanish.

After the 3rd or 4th LE call I'd probably cut back on my hobbying.

Just a thought

It's the outing of the client list that concerns them most.

I think most of us have rehashed this topic to death, actually.

I do it all the time. They call, I don't recognize number, I put on heavy accent and wait for response, then I say, "me gusta, y u no speak english?" Then I blurr my words and make up latin words. That usually irritate them to disconnect.

Did you know that phone numbers are recycled? Yes, your previous old phone number can be recycled and can be assigned to another owner. If you use a hobby phone, that's a plus. Another thing, if you are unsure of the phone number, then don't pick up if your paranoid.

You think they need more evidence to solidify their case? Haven't heard Jack shit from them yet about this.

If you haven't noticed, I am a man with great humor. I never had an LE called my phone before, but have many telemarketers called me. I like to play the, "me gusta" game on them. I make up spanish words, and they end the conversation after a minute or less.

I would suppose LE operate in the same way? ;) I have never tried it on an LE before, but sure as hell would try it though if it was ever present it to me. Life's too short to worry about the obvious. Let me live without all the restraints.

So, yes, I am serious. If LE ever called me, I'll give them the "me gusta" game only if it relates to the hobby. That shit ain't no real crime dude! Getting laid ain't never been no fucking crime. I rest my case;)

I like to ask them to hold on while I switch to the other phone and then see how long they stay on the line.

It should be pretty obvious that most johns aren't in any trouble. You obviously know nothing factual about what is going on yet you comment as if you have inside information.

I'm not sure what is worse, fear mongering like the guy on RO board, or pretending to know inside info and spreading false hope based on nothing but heresy.  Additionally, you have absolutely no idea if the client list is safe or not.

Just say, "I appreciate your call be I'm not interested." and then hang up.

A lot of them are shut-ins who would have difficulty in other lines of work. They're just trying to making a living.

at a restaurant while seeing him on the news. Look at the date of published, this is over 1 years old. A side note, heads were $20-$30, and full service was $60-$80 at that place.

So what makes you think your info is any better than the "fear mongers" who post about actual cases and investigations in the area that they obtained from legit sources? At least they have real tangible evidence to show for it.

Supposedly, this attorney and your friend are discussing the case with you from prison?
Are they even allowed to do that? You do realize you are digging a hole for yourself?
If I even believe your story, then what gives you the authority to give legal advice on a public board and speculating the outcome when you have absolutely no legal background? Again, you pretend to have knowledge you dont really have.

You have no right to call the others fear mongers when  your own info can not be verified either and when you are making huge assumptions from zero or one "unverifiable" source. Randomly speculating based on one info you heard. You have a history of pretending to know stuff that you really don't, so I'm not surprised.

Aliases are sometimes hostile but guys like Yokozume clearly doesn't see how abusive he can be.  Our handles aren't our real name either, last I checked. It's still an alias.
