Gentlemen,

I am curious about your thought process while writing reviews. I truly appreciate it when those who have had the opportunity to meet me take the time to do so. I totally understand if writing a review is not your thing, but for those who do, who within your male psyche writes them? What prompts you to write them? Don't be shy boys, give me just a little window to the man behind the writing. It might just turn me on!

Jokes aside, I am really curious about your point of view when it comes to this.

Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post it here, but I think this is an interesting topic to share.

Hi Megan,

POV means "personally owned vehicle" to me baby, but lets assume for the moment that you don't want to talk cars.

:-)

I have from day one appreciated the opportunity to write the General Detais section, and despised having to write the Juicy Details.

I would imagine regulars have heard it too often from me now, but I am in this for intimate experiences.  I still have sex in the 3rd decade of my marriage, it is the intimacy that left a number of years ago and led me here.  Took me a little while to figure that out, but here we are.

The General Details section allows to me communicate to others, and others to me, the type of PERSON you will be if I select you for a date.  Almost all of you beautiful women have provided me with the most mind-blowing sex of my life, from how beautiful you are to your.....proclivity to please....to how seriously you take your physical presence.  I can simply perform a search on Washington DC and a certain score range and know the sex will be great, but it takes a bit more work and research to find a great LOVER.  Someone who is going to appreciate gently holding and being held as much as I, and understand how much I get off on just pampering them and again....making them my lover for that time together, not my provider.  Those providers are actually quite a bit more rare than you might (or might not....) think.

Of my last four providers, who have become my four regular providers not coincidentally, I have only read ANY of the juicy details section for one, and that was at her insistence because her menu is not as open as other providers in her price range.  She wanted to make certain we were on the same page and that made a lot sense.  All she has done is provide me with the most wonderful intimacy that I have experienced in my nearly 50 years, so really.....I could have skipped the details and been just fine.

:-)

I deplore writing the details, it is a Lady McBeth syndrom effect afterwards as I "just can't get clean" for a while afterwards.  I had my first overnight with a provider last weekend and I would guess 70% of what went down is NOT in the review, but there is still plenty of detail there to result in the score she deserved, and give other guys what they need to know.  There is a young lady I am looking at for next week and have had some back channel communication with someone who has seen her who asked me yesterday if I had seen her most recent review, which is beyond pretty graphic.  I made the mistake and now....I don't know Megan.  It is just fucking unnecessary to write that kind of shit about a women and it pissed me off when I read it last night.  Maybe she wants that.

My procedure going into the details section is always the same:  What score am I giving her, and how much do I need to disclose to bring her up to that score?  From there it is the painstaking process of finding the verbiage that communicates the experience in the most respectful possible terms.

I "only" have 13 reviews written Megan, but I have reviewed all but three women I have seen since I found TER and I am probably at 60 or 70 dates now including 20+ with my primary ATF.  I hobby in a 2nd area as well which is not as economically advantaged as DC, and all three were from that area and were just horrendous experiences (that is another thread) and were not on TER and there was not enough info known about them (such as name in ad) to review them.  My point is that the number is only thirteen primarily because I have found the intimacy that I had sought from this wonderful hobby and I hope that I have been successful in communicating that about these providers in the General Details.

I get a lot of bcak-channel communication here and, as I am certain you know, there are far, FAR more men in this hobby for emotional (intimacy) needs than sexual needs, but a relative few are willing to actually put that out there.  To wit, other hobbyists, on average, are getting more required info from my General Details specifics than the Details and that would be true even if I was writing everything that happened in the Details section, So I know I have this right

Hi Megan,  I know you will receive a broad spectrum of response here. A review from me comes if I'm inspired,  pleasantly suprised, or if it augments a provider's performance that others have not expressed or missed. I stay away from studying others reviews intensely, perhaps a perusal of the last couple or an 'outlier', usually simply to dismiss that one,  in my own mind. Sometimes providers do not desire reviews (as is the case with my current ATF) who stay at extrememly low volume and like it that way. Other times, an epiphany review from mecomes after a 2nd or 3rd date, when I sense I want a much more, in depth experience. I'm waiting on that imminent opportunity right now...as you know!

As a contribution to the board.
I have relied on TER reviews to help me make hobby related decisions for years. The willingness of others to take the time to submit an account of their experience with a lady has provided me the opportunity for some amazing encounters. So since I am a definite consumer of this info I feel the responsibility to contribute back by submitting reviews and sharing info on the boards when appropriate [ TER Discussion rules] . In other words, I do it for fellow, serious hobbyist.

With that in mind reviews need to be honest. It is not the means to ingratiate yourslf with a lady.  It is an exchange of information. And we all should understand....good review...bad review YMMV is always a factor.

I have little respect and trust in the gents that live on the boards but are unwilling to submit reviews. I wish they would find another venue for their social interaction needs. This site  after all IS The Erotic REVIEW Board. Not the question of the day board so you can see your handle on screen.  If guys who felt the need to comment on every post would expend as much energy actually reviewing ladies we would have a healthier community.  Frankly, I'm not sure if most of these dudes actually see Providers....especially the hide behind alias's crew.  But it is what it is.

Yeah, me too...TER has given me some great experiences, and helped me to learn the ropes; I'm just paying it forward- also, I think that there are great providers out there, who deserve a shout out

Good question Megan..thanks!
I confess I like doing some indirect marketing for women Ive met..If I like them I feel I should say so..there are some truly memorable women out there as we know...theirs' is a hard job marketing themselves. Lots of options, and seemingly more every week.

Giving some personal insight on the lady's personality and what took place, other than the repetitive obvious, l hope is helpful to guys mulling over calling. i.e. Getting a feeling of what they might expect.
Honesty is the best policy of course and will not write anything that didnt happen but try to add an antic dote or two which makes her different from her peers.

Also, I admit I do them for the VIP status..I know I know but if I just ponyed up the few bucks to buy it I'd just spend too much time on here...honest... so I find my sometimes VIP status works okay for me

I'm not particulalrly fond of the juicy details portion of reviews, I think it's unnecessary.  I don't need to read that much graphic detail, nor am I comfortabke writing it.  The answers in both the public and VIP portion of the "objective questions" plus the ratings are the most important, though I would add a few questions about "personality" for those of us who like to know things like is a lady smart, good at convo, a big smile and a laugh etc. as part of the overall experience.  I don't really need to know who did what to whom in what order or how many times or for how many minutes.  Just imho.

Here are my reasons (in order of when the motivation or feeling hits me):

1. I want VIP status so that I can read other reviews and perhaps find a great provider fit for me.
2. I think my review would add to the body of reviews (or lack or reviews) on TER for a particular provider.
3. I tend to relive the session when I write the reviews.  This is obviously quite enjoyable when the session was good.  When the session was not good, the review helps me to put the experience in better perspective and perhaps laugh to myself about it.
4. I find that I remember the session better when I've written a review.  Memories are valuable because they tend to help me appreciate life.

Most of the reasons given so far, also apply for me, except to get VIP status, because I pay for my VIP membership.  I accept writing a review as part of my membership obligation to my felloow board members.  Unlike some of the previous posters, I read every review available before selecting someone to see.  For that reason, I rarely have a disappointing session.  Consequently, I'm anxious to write the honest, glowing review that follows.  Because I usually see providers on one of my days off, I write the review immediately after returning from an appointment.  I believe that it is possible to convey a good sense of the details without having to resort to language that some posters on this thread seem to find over the top or offensive.  I also find it a way to partially repay a provider for a good session by augmenting her marketing indirectly.

I would strongly encourage TER to continue the practice of requiring juiicy details.  I find them invaluable in assessing both the personality and skills of potential partners.  Only rarely do I find them entertaining, mostly because most guys just don't write that well.

"Only rarely do I find them entertaining, mostly because most guys just don't write that well"

Bingo!

It's main reason I don't write them. Nothing  I can add. IMO, after 1 or 2 pages of reviews , I can ascertain all pertinent info about a lady.

I'm sure if you "studied" all 6 pages, you might find something else but I'm not intersted in doing that so...I don't.

The only type of review I MIGHT be willing to do is a "mini".

I benefit a lot from other guys writing reviews on which providers to avoid and which ones to see. I write them also to let guys know that a particular provider is not LE.  Not that long ago TER allowed reviewers to write reviews with reviewer alias. Sometimes I will use my alias to write a review so that another provider that I have seen before does not get jealous.  I also use the alias to keep the bad reviews on the alias and the good ones under my normal handle.

Some times a provider physical looks and price will change. The new reviews help existing and new clients know about the changes for better or good. Sometimes we don't believe it (looks good worst) and price increase and sure enough we find the new reviews are true. A good example is one that had long hair when you saw her but she has very short hair now.

I am discovering that providers do get jealous, so posting under another alias is a excellent way to keep everyone happy.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Agree with STPHomer that as someone who has really benefitted from reviews, I feel compelled to contribute back.  My experiences in the hobby have been almost entirely positive; much thanks to fellow TER members who take the time to write reviews.

But perhaps more importantly, I tend to book longer appointments and often discover one or two things that are different or special about the lady.  Vast majority of the time it's something very positive about her.  I try to articulate what makes her unique so that someone else who really appreciates some dimension or another can connect with her...
