Gents, I am touring the area in june, And have no idea where to stay IE: Areas .hotels. etc. I have heard tysons corner is great, but ?

I stayed at the Inner Harbor, in Baltimore. There are several very nice hotels.

Tyson's Corner - VA
Reston - VA (Near Dulles Airport)
Dupont Circle - DC

The Harbor area is nice with lots of amenities (easy to get to shops & food). Bad parking and not very convenient unless you're already downtown.

BWI is uber convenient. Lots of decent hotels at all price points (the Westin is great with a back entry to the elevators - no lobby) and the Hamton Inn is newly remodeled.

However, BWI has zip, and I mean bupkis, for amenities.

Dupont is nice if you want to be in D.C. and close to downtown, momuments, and good restaurants. Tysons is better for client parking, and shopping at the mall.

Dupont Circle is my fave area in dc
AS far as baltimore I prefer bwi/linthicum area
Tyson's corner I would say don't go, if your choosing a va area, reston and dulles are better.
If you choose to go to Tyson's make it an extremely short stay and I would advise against using your face in any pics as Le is very aggressive in that area.

Just make sure you pick a hotel that's near a metro stop, and/or a hotel that has a parking garage.

I agree with Dupont Circle but as someone stated earlier pick a hotel that has a parking garage. You will lose some friends as some people will not goto DC or Dupont if they have to drive through their unless they can park somewhere

I don't want to name it, so it doesn't come up on outside searches.

But think:
Paris, Blond Socialite/Colonel Henry Blake

It has "open Hall" entries to the rooms that overlook the lobby/bar/front desk.  Plus the elevators are glass that overlook it as well.  

Could be too easy for employees to see traffic going to a single room.
