I love to play but my IRA tells me to cut down.  So I will decrease my activity to about once every 3 months.   Also i will search for escorts well reviewed on TER whose donations are most reasonable.  While this is in the eyes of the beholder for me it means limiting to ++1/2. CL will be another source but I would favor those who are posted on TER.

I recognize that providers may also be hurting and I would like to know how they are maintaining themselves in these tough economic times.  I wish you all well and this too will pass.

Happy New Year to All.

Irish Republican Army (IRA) should not be telling you how to hobby in the good ole' USA. Ya get what ya pay for. Craigs list is like a box of choclates, yas never know which one is nuts (or LE for that fact). Best of luck in these frugal times we have ahead. Perhaps our new leader can spred the wealth.

The good news is that like viagra, the dow is starting to rise after a deflating 2008.  I would assume that for many the early part of 2009 may be slow (for both providers and hobbyists), but then again optimism and a few other factors may get a rise out of all of us.

A family of four use to pay $400/$500 a month for groceries 18 months ago. Now it is $800-$1000/month. That is an extra $6000/year out of the pocket, the first place it will come from is the hobby. That is 20 hours of provider time at $300/hour. Hobbyists will have to ask for a federal bailout in the form of a tax credit for food.

I personaly view it as finances well invested.
You have decreased to once in 3 months??
That is minimizing the hobby as much as possible.
What was your frequency before...curiously.
Parenthetically, I've seen very little adjustment of provider donations.
Just an observation.

There are a lot of ways to save money besides cutting back on hobbying..
Ask yourself if you get more enjoyment out of Cable TV, or Starbucks coffee,or a new car, or weekly meals at Citronelle, than that lovely provider who  posted on TER.

My favorite providers won't know the difference if I only watch regular TV, make my own coffee, and eat a lot of rice at home.I would give up a lot of things before I cut back on hobbying but  thats just me..I don't need to go to the grocery store for all my food..

I have heard this a few times. Yes we are all hurting, like someone said, food is even more expensive, but that is also true for our provider community, they too have more expenses and their cost of living has also increased.

So in my honest opinion, the providers should not be asked to discount their service simply because the economy is not good anymore.

Remember what we get for that hour with them, we get to be the king, the center of attention, we get to pop a few times here and there and all of that without having to buy dinner and drinks first :-)

About every other month.
provider donations for the most part have not gone down but some have offered Holiday specials.
It also seems to me that visiting escorts have increased their fees.  I prefer to support the wonderful local women in the area who are available usually when the urge comes on and the wallet has Franklin's.
