no, not normal

First off let me state I still consider myself a new hobbyist. I have not visited a large number of providers so I lack "vetern status". I recently visited a provider and everything went well. Since that visit the provider has contacted ME twice to "touch base" and see if I would like to schedule a return visit. Being new I am curious if this is normal or acceptable behavior? This is the first time it has happened to me. I did enjoy the visit and had thoughts of a return but this just seemed odd to me especially since this was a recent visit.

no, this is not normal for her to contact you UNLESS you asked her to ahead of time.

I used to have a girl contact me.  She was with an agency then went UTR and the last time I saw her with the agency she said she was going UTR.  She then asked if I would like to be contacted when she is is coming to town.  Since she was an ATF I said yes.

If she had not been my current (at the time) ATF I would have declined FIRMLY.

Unwelcome contact is, uh, unwelcome.

I have, infrequently, given my okie dokie to a small select few who travel. Very few of those even ever did. The frequency of the calls would bother me more than anything else. I usually don't mind them calling as long as they don't mind hearing that I can't. Try giving the ladie parameters within which to call..IE...every-other week, once a month etc...That is if you enjoy seeing her. If it becomes annoying, you may have to change your #. This may not be the advice of some veterans.

Was it emails, phone calls? I have several ladies who keep in contact with me, on a friendship basis, never to ask me if I want to schedule an appointment. We send emails back and forth frequently. Phone calls, on the other hand, are not acceptable, unless you specifically discussed it, and said it was okay. Even emails should be on a "Yes, it's okay" basis.

Thanks for the help thusfar. It was a phone call. Nothing along the lines of contacting me was discussed during our meeting. That is one of the reasons I found the situation odd.

I have never had a provider call me and ask if I wanted to make a appointment..That seems strange ..
Most ladies won't call if only for the fact they don't want to grovel like a lot of men do ..Plus most ladies don't get off on rejection where some men think like me ..."I just asked one and she slapped me ,ninety nine more and my odds might improve"
Hopefully for you ninety nine more before another one calls and asks, "are you ready again"..

Run, don't walk away from this one. Business may be slow but contacting you twice indicates a problem of some sort.  Ever see "Fatal Attraction"?
