What is the #1 resturant in the Dupont Circle area? Please think with emphasis on food and not so much the atmosphere. . I am excited to hear your tastes:) thanks

Brooke

My favorite DC restaurant is Ceiba. It is a short cab ride from Dupont Circle to 14th street.

And in Dupont Circle I enjoy La Tomate for a reasonably priced meal.

The food at Komi is wonderful.  It is a small restuant and sometimes hard to get a reservation, esp. on short notice!  The chef is unique in his creations, one of a kind!

Komi is great; also consider Vidalia and Marcel's.

Scions....I believe it opened about 6 months ago.  It is across the street [ P ] from the Palamor.....Had dinner there with a fave and we were both impressed with the service and the quality of the food. Very creative chef....Be sure to try the fried pickles !!

It's been there for years.  Prices are probably on the high end.

You didn't say anything about actually going...just what's the best;-) If you like Italian, try Obelisk...they may only be booked for the next couple weeks;-))
A few others....and I admit it's been a long time since I've been...Pesce, Restaurant Nora and Firefly. Have fun!

Restaurant Nora is the best organic eatery in DC and it's right down the street from Dupont Circle.

I have had several people actually be more downtown at the Madison or Mayflower and such.  That is really IMO more downtown.  If you are in that area I would suggest DC Coast at 14th & K.  Yo uwill not be disappointed.  Great food.  Fish dishes in particular as the flavors are just amazing.  USA Today named the Anaheim Chile Relleno a top 10 appetizer (and it IS excellent)
