I have noticed that it goes in waves and spurts. Everything will run smoothly and my dear clients will all show up and then other times it's one cancellation after another. It happens though and it goes along with this business. It can certainly be annoying but I do not stress about it too much.
The best thing for a provider is to be smart and save her money so that if she does get cancellations she is still ok.
Gentlemen of DC
Normally I like to be provocative and and stir you up with some deep thoughts about the hobby. But today I have but one simple question. What is up with the cancellations? I have had at least four of them which has me wondering if it is time to consider other horizons. Say it isnt so gentlemen.
Okay, I cant leave you with just that. I have to entertain and tantalize just little. Tell me how you feel the night before an appointment. Do you sleep well or toss and turn with anticipation?
Just dont wake up and decide to cancel on me for no good reason dear. Because that would just be a missed opportunity and regret you will take to the grave.

is all I can come up with for those who cancel on you Megan. Clearly they don't understand the nature and consequences of their actions.
of course, I would have to plead temporary insanity for not making an appointment with you yet, but my strain would NEVER lead to a cancellation. To do that I'd have to be just plain crazy
the good thing is that this condition is treatable, as I understand it, with a good nights sleep... which from what I can tell would be much more likely after visiting with you than before.
yes, tossing and turning with anticipation is a big part of it and often carries through on and off mentally the entire day of until the moment arrives when -like the experienced actors we are -we just fall into our roles and the anxiety turns to the excitement of what will hopefully be a performance for the ages -- which in the end is what we really live for
If you check the boards and do research you will find that another provider is giving them a discount. Other reasons could be some negative information that they find out about the provider in the backchannel. Some have since enough to do there research first before booking an appointment and making a bad situation with cancellations.

For me it's been the same. I've had my appointment's canceled twice recently. Both times, day of the appointment by the lady.
Another MILF that came out of retirement, went through her verification process. She emails me dates and times that she is available and when I try to book a time - poof she doesn't respond back. After the second unanswered email - I moved on.
It's been a strange environment around here lately.
but always try to reschedule. Can get difficult when seeing ladies that are also traveling to keep our schedules with enough overlap. And, I have had to reschedule several times due to life, work, airlines, etc. In one case, it took 6 months to get our calendars back to where we were in the same city again, but we did manage to finally see each other. If clients would reschedule, I am sure the attitude from the ladies would be much more positive.
The night before, I read myself to sleep reviewing her website, blog (if she has one), reviews, P411 and date-check profiles, etc. Makes for sweet dreams building the excitement for a wonderful evening to follow.
....you have reserved time with a lady, and now, you will not be seeing her during the time you initially requested. Rescheduled several times? I sure hope you forwarded her a hefty cancellation fee!
Hugs and Kisses,
Kelly
Over many years of hobbying, it has happened several times. Not with the same lady, nor the same appointment. Life does happen, such as delayed flights, family emergencies, etc. And, ladies have had to reschedule with me also when unforeseen circumstances arise.
You're frightening me a bit! I have a few extended dates planned for my DC trip and I surely hope none of them cancel. I can't wait to see DC!
...that stuff comes up on both sides that could cause cancellations. But shouldn't we be treating these appointments as seriously as we would any other business meeting? Only in an extreme emergency would I cancel a business meeting with less than 24 hous notice. Same goes for my doctor or dentist. Our time is valuable and should be respected on both sides. It's just common courtesy.
Seems obvious, but then again I'm new and have much to learn!
OA
PS - Megan I would NEVER cancel on you!
I just looked at your website and under your cancellation section, it wasn't specific enough and too general. However, if you can provide a specific time frame that is measurable such as 48 hours, then hopefully that should give you enough time to reschedule other appointments.
I've seen other girls websites where they state 48 hours, three days, or even a week's notice. Perhaps you can be more specific on your cancellation policy for accountability. That way, they can be accountable for last minute cancellation.
Its not just you nor is it this business, its Washington, DC. Too many self-important people having to meet oh so important people. I come from the business of the heart of DC, politics. We say in the business to book a political person for the spotlight, but always have a couple of back-ups for when they don't show-up.
The President running late? Then that trickles down to EVERYBODY else running late or getting called into a last minute meeting. Throw in traffic and I'm amazed that anybody can keep an appointment.
The only answer I see is asking for a non-refundable deposit to reduce rescheduling or cancellations...and I still don't think it will help. There is money in this town, it may not seem like it sometimes because people are cheap asses, too.
Do I toss and turn? Nope, I sleep like a baby before the day of an appointment and wake up like a little school kid on the first day of summer vacation.
Sorry, not the answer you want, just the nature of the beast in the DC area.

The best thing for a provider is to be smart and save her money so that if she does get cancellations she is still ok. But it does suck when you travel and spend money on a room, and transportation and then it is for nothing. Aaahh life's hard! Lo
