Are there any good agencies that are looking for a petite African American girl.
I've always worked as an independent but I think its time for me to try an agency for stability.
Any suggestions? Should I go to an agency, or stay an independent? Good agencies? Agencies to avoid?

If you don't mind doing high volume then the two that post most often on this board will work great for you.Very high volume.They will have you go back to back all day long: 8:30am,9:30am,10:30am, 11:30am,12:30pm... until midnight or worse.No time to shower between clients.No time to eat.You have to rush the gents and you get bad reviews not them.Your good reputation as an indy will be trashed.They will tell you they are safe but their screening is weak.Type in their name along with the word busted and hit search to see other girls who got burned by the greedy bookers and owners of DC's top agencies.They don't care about you at all.If a client is agressive and hurts you and you ask him to leave you still owe the agency their cut of the money you should have earned(true story) and if someone is really twisted and you refuse their kink and the client complains they will not set any appointments for you for the day to punish you.

In all if you want to make okay money with a very high risk of getting busted, by sleeping with a dozen or more clients a day,go with any of the big two.They will hire anyone.When you are busted,they will act like they never met you.Sorry to be a downer but that's the reality of DC's shadiest (I mean "classiest" and that's a hint for you) agencies.And yes I'm posting under an alias because I used to work for them and I know how vindictive they are.If I posted under my real handle their shills would post a ton of bad reviews of me or my un blurred pictures would suddenly turn up online.Be careful Nelly.

I highly recommend that you stay away from agencies.

I recommend that you find the areas where providers of your shape do well the best in our region. Some areas they do extremely well and come back for repeat business on a regular basis.

You can post free ads in the Regional Ad Boards here on TER besides your regular advertising.  You already have reviews, so you're already a step ahead.  You could set up a personal Escort website (there are several free sites if cost is an issue).  If DC is your home base, you are already in one of the top Escort markets in the country.

You could also see if you can find a mentor to help you establish yourself as a independant provider, like Mea Mendez is doing for a young colleague.

Like others have said, it is probably best to stay away from the big 2.  If you must go the agency route, find one of the smaller ones, preferably woman-owned or run.  The only one I can think of is "Dolce Desires."  I haven't dealt with them since I generally prefer indies myself.

And, so very true about their lax screening. It is too easy to get verified by them. I've done it before. )

Now THAT is very Gross... and a true posterchild example of "Back to back" booking.

My two cents -

Indy should provide the automony which may be preferred, such as owning your schedule and donation.

Many Agency girls are responsible for room costs and airfare, so pretty much a wash, although as an Indy you get yout "choice" of office location.

Agency would have the marketing edge, and off-loads screening (if your comfortable with their practices then fine).

First few tours via Agency in any single city are high volume. Then will taper down. Maybe similar as an Indy?

If Agency is preferable, suggest you look into woman run or regional brands. Maybe Pure, Apre Vous, Flawless, or Dolce. The latter three tend to travel you a bit, but to my knowledge don't have a local thug presence in those cities to harass you. If your other vocation allows you to work a week a month, they may provide a better mix of options with a volume that sustains the remainder of the month.

Keep your local regulars as long as possible. Serve those that serve you ...well.

If they are indy  still think they need a booker.

I have found Indy to be pretty unrealable with getting back to you and scheduling.

That is why people go back to agency.
