Asia includes India, so not all Asian people look "oriental".

Excellent point...

What mean when we say Asian is a replacement for the out-of-favor term, oriental.  In other words, we mean east Asian, which is kind of odd.  Asian means Indian, Arab, Thai, eastern Russian, even Jews are originally from Asia.
