After seeing so many postings on this board related to LE and personally getting calls/emails that I did not appreciate, I decided to make a simple change and continue to hobby as I have been for many years.

I decided to stop using my old TER and other board IDs and simply ‘retire’ them and start a brand new one.  I will continue to hobby with the following simple rules

a -- I have a couple of trusted providers whom I will continue to see and they know about my identity change and have agreed to verify me for any other provider

b -- I will sign up with Date-Check & other services with NO reference to my new ID

c --I will NO LONGER provider my TER ID when booking appointment

d -- I will write reviews a few weeks after I see the provider hoping that my ID does not get matched to me

e -- I will be very generic in my review writing styles, providing details that we can all use, but not too much that the provider or anyone else could find me.

Also noticed some of my ATF providers have already changed their names so this way it is like us meeting for the first time

Why bother changing your name/handle? In addition to saying that limiting postings and/or reviews is bad??? What the original poster fails to realize is that your posts are there forever... even if removed permanently from our ability to see them there is record of who, why what and where. So if LE or some other entity wishes to obtain that information it is still there.

The only way to get in trouble is to be caught in the act... then everything can be used against you. Otherwise you can claim anything you want.. you can say you post fictional stories on a website for the entertainment of others or some shit... it makes no difference! The same goes for the ladies... If LE could use the information on here as their only means for a conviction we'd all be in a cell right now.

Seriously, If you are that paranoid about getting caught and have so much to lose that you are unwilling to take the risk STFU, pick up a $10 porno and have fun. Don't get all high and mighty about what action you've taken to protect yourself or change your lifestyel becaus eno one cares! If you have a particular "New set of rules" you go by then by all means... use them! There is no need to plaster on the board that you are doing so! When I see a link to a press release from LE, I'm thankful.  When I see a flood of these dumbass paranoid posts, it just gets annoying, especially when it doesn't even make sense.  For example, how long are people going to insist MoCo has influence and jursidiction outside of MoCo?  DC and VA are safe (relatively speaking) yet I'm having trouble setting up appointments due to the paranoia.

I'd love it if TER established some sort of rules that you had to back up your posts with facts... And one be held accountable.  It's the equivalent of a troublemaker purposely bringing in a dead rat and putting it in their food at a restaurant for no reason.
