yes, the management at eros is a bunch of fucking tools and total scumbags.  Since you could copy/paste the picture URL onto www.tineye.com and thus bust stolen picture, eros has blocked that now with a new feature to the eros website.  The pictures no longer get a URL.

They run a very (I would guess profitable) successsful business.  Mgt of Eros could careless about the hobby, all they care about is the $$$ people pay for the ads.  My suggestion would be to stop spending some much time "crime fighting" and see ladies and write reviews.  See at the end of the day those are the things that have made this site a success.

if you hit the "click to create direct link" in the lower right...a link appears that you can copy & paste into TinEye.  I tried it just now and that method works.

An extra step...indicates (to me at least) they are trying to make it harder on those searching out scams.

You can still plug the URL of the Eros ad into the search engine on tineye.com.  However, I can't use the Tineye Firefox plug-in on Eros anymore.

Actually EROS has been broken for me since late afternoon.  The navigation thumbnails in the left frame load nothing in the main frame.

Firefox, liveheaders plugin

They have to serve it somehow.

You can clip from liveheaders plugin into tineye. Of course with my luck I always get this from TinEye but I'm not the consumate professional that you are db911!

I found on Eros with this add-on if you click the status bar arrow to enable right click, you can then click on an image and get it alone in a window where you can then use the TinEye search.

First the right click image has not been allowed for more than a year.

What they recently changed is the the image viewer. Now my rightclick FF plug-in does work. But as I said before you can always go to tools and page info for media properties.

But you said the right click doesn't work on the page for you anymore? Works for me. But if you installed that plug-in I mentioned and tried using it on the Eros page - well, you disabled right click entirely and need to reload the page - hahaha - told you that in PM

When I open the ad in a separate tab and click on my tineye toolbar I still get all the images in tineye -

Where is the "Status bar" located and how do I use it to enable right click?

I always thought the status bar was at the bottom and I see nothing there that has anything to do with this.   But here isa pretty clear description of what you need to do.   If you have questions send me a PM.

That's the thing - you have the bookmarklet. I wasn't aware of that one. I think most of us have the extension where you right-click on an image, and one of your choices is "Search Tineye". Since Eros has disabled the right-click menu on their pages, this option no longer works without modification.

I installed the bookmarklet that you apparently are using, and it works just as you said.

The status bar in Firefox IS at the bottom - if you install the add-on I linked to above, it adds to the status bar an arrow that you can click on to enable right-click and selection on a page that has it disabled.

As for your solution, my settings are set just in the way described on that linked page, and I still have the problem with Eros and other sites where people have disabled right-click. That page appears to date back to Firefox 1.5, so it's pretty old.

But setting Firefox it up the way my earlier link described it solved my problem.

So while our results are different it sounds like we are both happy.  Peace.
