Over the weekend I setup an appointment with a provider for Tuesday afternoon.  We exchange multiple emails and my last email from her is Monday morning.  I get home and send an email letting her know that I will need directions and stuff at least 90 minutes early to make her incall on time Tuesday.

THEN, I get an automated email from her inbox saying she left to start her 4th of July vacation early!  WTF, Seriously?  You email me this morning and by this afternoon you just leave, no follow up emails or anything????  Just leave someone with a confirmed appointment hanging???!??!  Thank god I sent an email today instead of tomorrow and wasting more of my time...

So now I am debating on outing her on the board for such crappy scheduling, taking it on the chin or just  plain STFU about it.

What do you think?  How would you respond to someone not taking the courtesy of letting you know their plans changed and you find out that your confirmed appointment is canceled via auto-reply email.

and be en route traveling now - If she is not local,  I would give her time to get to the area and check her email then see if she contacts you -

The lady in question might be fully booked, so she rather engage auto reply then taking the time to reply to mail, when she knows she will not be in town.

  I doubt that this is likely, so I do hope she comes clean, and offers you a credit for the no show.  If and when I have to cancel on a gentleman, I always give him a credit towards our next date.  

  All time is valuable, and I am sorry that this lady might have wasted yours.

You're never really home free with a provider until you walk through the door of her incall. Irresponsibilty, unprofessionalism, shamelessness, and degredation are a part of hobbying as it is with anything else in this life. She owes you some comp time for her behavior, but don't count on it. Find another provider who approximates what you're looking for and move on. The added stress and elevated blood pressure are not needed.

easier said than done for the moment. makes it more difficult when you don't know her motives.However, one of the best things about a free market is choice. She made hers (to cancel the date) now, you make yours.( to find another lady)

It's not like she will care anyway if she thinks what she did to you was ok she probably thinks it's ok too for people to out her for that.

You never know - she may have been booked and wanted to cut off further correspondence with potential clients.

I would wait until tomorrow and see if she gets back to you.  Been a rough couple of days here in the DC area.

in my auto responder she referenced to difficulties with the hotels due to power outages in the area which I can certainly understand. Maybe yours is different one, but I had three cancellation due to the power outage today. Hotels are hard to find with all locals checking in to cool down

put an auto responder telling further potential clients that I would be out of town for that week, but still kept the appointment with the client that booked with me. I wanted to be sure to remember to let people know I would be out of town before I left. Perhaps that is what she  is doing? Of course if you don't hear back from her, than that is not the case.

First of all...Sry that happened to u like that...I just cant believe she went to vacation without let u know and totally blew u out!! IDK about other ppl..but Its totally unacceptable to me..

You didn't say if you had seen her before.  If it was the first time, I would look at the $$$ in my pocket and think "Well, if she would do this then I'm glad to still have you , my little green and black friends!"  If it was a repeat, then I would write her a strongly worded email and tell her that she just lost a safe, clean, and generous customer because of her thoughtless actions.  Then I would go beat off.
