So I made arrangements to meet a provider during an upcoming trip to Richmond.  Found her on Date-Check where she is a very new member (about 3-4 weeks).  She has one review here on TER which is very positive, but the reviewer has only written 3 reviews total.

I did a search for her profile images, and most (but not all) came up as stock photos.  At least one was not found elsewhere in the net in a Google image search.  I asked her if she had any recent photos since her profile pics were stock, and her reply was that she was a former model and that it is in fact her in the photos.  Her profile does say she is a former model.

I am a firm believer that a little bit of paranoia is a good thing in this hobby, as it helps keep me safe and minimizes the surprises and disappointments.  Looking for feedback...should I keep the date or call it off until there is a bit more history out there?

Well, the stock photo thing is suspicious.  I would ask her if she could take a couple self shots in a mirror and that she can cover her face etc.  She shouldn't have an issue doing that if the photos she is using are found on stock photo websites.  

The review she has... considering the reviewer made a review in 2005, it's less suspicious to me that if he had made three recent reviews.  Might want to PM the reviewer and see if you can get any more info out of him.  Ask him if it really is her in the photos.  

If the girl isn't willing to send you new photos, I personally would back out.  That is just me...not saying she is fake but to me not really worth it as there are so many other ladies out there who you don't have to worry if they are real or not.  Or perhaps you can have her meet you at a coffee shop or something first.  Up to you but that's my take.

Now she does say she's 40 so maybe she thinks she can't charge more???

you would think date check is less likely to let providers post with fake photos but  I had a provider do that on P411. she had one or two real photos and the rest fake. Don't know why they still let her put ads up.

Most real models can command more than $250 a freaking hour lol. Just saying. You are right to be skeptical. I bet all women who use other model's pics "used to be models." Yea, for Dog Chow.  

Not implying that about the girl here as I don't know her, but how many times have you guys seen that hot 110 lb. gal in the pics and a 210 lb. gal showed up?

Yea, I know there are several things here that send up red flags including the $250, but I have also met new providers that are just getting started and their rates are often lower initially and then go up as they build up their brand and reputation.

My advice is to move on.

Only one review, and that account could have easily been hacked. His only other reviews are in 2005 (reputable provider), then again in 2011, and that provider only had 3 reviews in 2011. The recent review is not a credible review.

Fake or decades-old pics is a big red flag. Those pics on Date-Check are not of any 40 year old lady I have ever been with.

No website. No other boards, especially one that is big in VA (has 23 providers for Richmond alone). No P-411.

If you the least bit concerned about getting scammed, or worse, busted, my advice is to move on. Too many legit providers with lots of good reviews, recent and legit pics, a website, and are active on multiple boards.

it generally is!  And, the same can be said for; if it takes that much work on your part (in other words, doesn't happen as naturally as this should), then you need to ask yourself is it worth it?
