.. Should it really be a broad based thing? Why not:

White - latina
Mixed - latina
Afro - latina

Just reminds you ethnicity/race/appeaence is a little complicated

yes, but the average guy is looking to check the boxes and when he sees Latina, is just looking for someone to say "ay papi" regardless of whether that person even speaks Spanish or was born in the good old US of A. As everyone likes to reinforce in their posts here, there's little political correctness here, so stereotypes abound especially related to "exoticism": latinas are "spicy", asians are submissive, black girls can't be black because that's too ordinary lest you be "ghetto" and on...there are no nuances here because that complicates things so no need to start getting that technical in that respect either.

Especially in our industry. No one is anything "boring" or "regular". We all play ourselves up to make ourselves look more exotic and make our genetic ancestry sound like more of a rarity.

Speaking about race/ethnicity in any image based industry (companionship, dancing, modeling, etc) is like walking on eggshells because preference is preference. So we can't always be politically correct because so frequently political correctness means ignoring racial distinctions completely. But I don't  think the original poster wasn't being "technical", I think that he was just literally stating a not so well known fact. Latinas can look like Cameron Diaz or Joseline Hernandez or Selia Cruz because race has nothing to do with ethnicity and I don't think alot of people are aware of that.

Plus, I think anyone who has been with an Asian woman or even knows any women knows how unfounded the "demure Asian woman" stereotype is. Asian women are firecrackers 😂

Exactly! I think a little nuance could be used in the profiles because if a latina is not mixed race a white or black latina has questions of ethnicity. Reviews such as a lady looks more black/African American than latina, or a latina listed as African American...lol
