I have long been out of the hobby for well over a decade and had only used independents. I decided to dip my toe back into the waters. Unfortunately, appt with an indy fell through due to schedule conflict yesterday. Today, decided to try a well-reviewed pv agency with an incall. Called this morning and one thing that surprised me was that they did not even ask for my name and didn't seem to make any requests for references or other verifications other than asking where I heard of them.  I made the appt anyway. Is this normal? Should I be suspicious?
Thx
Bert

I think there is quite a difference these days between the verification system used for PV vs. Full Service. I dont have personal experience with PV agencies from 8-10 years ago but dont think they have changed a lot. The same cannot be said for escort agencies.

If this happened with a FS agency I would be suspicsious and not make an appointment to be frank.

Any agency or independent that doesn't ask for references is second rate in my book.

There are times when email and included phone number can tell a lady everything she needs to safely screen potential date without asking any questions.

That said, I would be cautious given location and recent events.

Speaking from experience I can tell you that most PV agencies in the area don't screen as well as escort agencies do, or independents. I worked for one, and the screening was nonexistent. Be careful, and research the agency. I would also get there a little early and scout the area.

Nope!

Emails can easily be forged!!!!! Go look it up. Cannot definitely verify a person that way, although it helps.
A registered cell or home number more likely helps identify who the true person is. However, what if one is using a pre-paid phone? Also, what if that person lost or cancelled his phone and someone else is using that number? What if his work buddy used it, when he went to break?
All in all, you guys know good ways to verify a good potential customer vs a bad one or cop. I've seen it. There are multiple check points...

They are real though...  if it is the one I am thinking about...
most often, TRULY decent  agencies - full service or not-  have multiple good reviews from experienced reviewers. Go by the reviews from trusted sources

All of the agencies I've been through always ask for my name, provider reference, and all that mumbo jumbo crap that I hesitate to give them.

What agency are you looking at, maybe I can help you if you name them here on the boards.

Hey guys,
Despite the paranoid red flags from my upper head, the lower head prevailed and pressed me ahead with the appointment.  Fortunately, everything went just fine and had a good time.  I'm not sure if the agency would appreciate me publicly discussing their approval process, but let's just say this agency has a decent number of good reviews on here so that put me at ease.  If you want more details, PM me.  Thanks to all who gave their 2 cents.

Not always of course, but on occasion I can do all my screening just with an email.

As for people using other people's phones/emails/ter accounts - yes I am very well aware of this happening and have encountered it myself.

And there are ways to deal with that as well.
