I have a female friend who is moving into the area and is looking for clubs to work in.
Granted there is the client side and the business side the clients can't see.
She is in her late thirties with a nice man made body is the best way to put it. 5'3 100LBS 34D's
Which clubs in the  DC area should one avoid and which ones do you think are the best to work at.   I guess that measurement is done by least  amount of bitching by the girls to you.

What am I missing to help with usable answers.

Oh and no, it's not my wife, mother, sister, girlfriend, associate or Lindsay Lohan.

she wont get a job at Good Guys. They only hire teenagers. 21 or 22 is a senior citizen there. And it helps if youre covered with tatts and piercings.

There are others in iffy neighborhoods but The Camelot (on M St NW) and The Crystal City Restaurant on 23rd St in Arlington continue year in year out to be the best overall clubs I think.
No lap dancing in DC but totaly nude btw..In VA no nudity or lap dances. The Crystal City Restauant from time  to time has feature dancers but the Camelot never does.
Some dancers at The Camelot actually work there for 10+ years which, as you may know, is pretty unusual in this business. Oh, the day and night shift hiring is done seperately btw with seperate maagement for each time period. Dont ask me how I know this..been here too long I guess...lol..

Long story short...if one has done any traveling outside of DC and frequented Strip Clubs (SC) when you come to DC it's like going back in time 100 years.  DC rules and law require No Touching, No table dance; No private and/or VIP rooms; etc. etc. etc..  If you cant particiapte in any of those activities then there is no need to go.  Then to top it off, if you do go, the quality of dancers is below industry standards for a real strip club.

If your friend is depending on guys like me who have experienced real strip clubs then I dont think she will make much money to make the effort worth her while.  While I have not been to clubs in DC proper for a long time, the last time I was at one the guys were throwing $1 - $5 bills on the stage.  This compared to fees of $100 - $200 for 15 mins or 2 - 5 songs in a private room or table dance pales in comparison.  Not to mention the lady being required to share a % of her take with the club.

From her side of the equation it may be a good thing if she's just starting out and wanting to take it slow.  I know full fledge Excorts who started at local DC strip clubs (Camelots) as a way of testing the waters with taking advantage of her looks.  This is about the only positive I can think of.

Per radio ads the more traditional strip bs are apparently opening up and now exist primarily in MD.  These clubs appear, from the ads, to cater to the AA, younger, Hip Hop clientel.  Depending on the age, nationality, and deameanor of your friend I dont know if this would be her style of club.

Camelot has, in my opinion, gone down quite a bit over the last few years.  Fewer customers, staff is noticably less friendly than it used to be, etc.  Moreover the girls at Camelot tend to be a little "younger" -- not that 35 is old.  

You may want to get her to try Archibalds.  Smaller club, but if she can build up a clientelle, I think that they would be more "loyal" and she could probably make more money there.

Actually, in the last couple of years, there have been some noticable defections from Camelot to Archibalds.

Crystal City is nice too, but its a much more laid-back atmosphere and, in general, unless you've got a regular, I don't see the girl's making much money.

Just my .02:

Grew up in the Philly area and some of those clubs are great.  Hot women, lots of touching and if the current Police situation is right, you can get a heck of a lot in a strip club for your money.  Out of the club, well, you can get a HELL of a lot if you hit it off with the right dancers.

DC has always been a disappointment and a bizarre atmosphere.  Tiny clubs, no service, and I can't imagine how the women make any money at the actual clubs...1 to 5 dollars a dance is pathetic.  The dancers have extras that they hang on and the guys just give them dollars for no apparent reason other than to sit next to them, (unless they give attention outside the club) and so good luck getting any attention if you're just an average Joe.

I used to go to this place called the Wagon Wheel in Baltimore.  Kinda like joining a "social club".  Membership fee and BYOB.  Some nights, it was pretty wild and cool.  The dancers were hot and a couple of them gave me their "personal" numbers...had a good time with one of them.

It's a strange sub-culture in DC.
