I haven't done much in the hobby in recent years.  In fact, from 2008 to about 2012 I didn't hobby at all, and then only sporadically since then.

Something I've noticed in recent months that is a big change is that some ladies are extremely vague about where they will be when.  At least three recently have told me they will get a room for an incall AFTER I've told them where I want them to be.   I assume this is out of an abundance of caution and paranoia, but this has got to work both ways.  A lady can't make it as a provider if she only has one visitor every time she gets a room.  Am I the only one who gets a strange feeling when I am told "you tell me where and I will get a room"?  The economics of this don't work.

Am I being too paranoid?

I'm used to a gal saying "I'll be in Dupont Circle" or "Ill be in the BWI area", and then me finding out exactly where when I reach the neighborhood.    This seems like a reasonable trade off for the lady's security and for mine.  But when someone tells me to name the spot and she'd show up -and pick up the room - I see red flags.

When I'm on tour, I usually plan far in advance, so I've already got a room by the time you contact me (most likely). Especially in areas like DC, hotels can swing hundreds of dollars overnight, so you might as well get them early when you have a good chance at not losing your first born over it. If you inquire early enough, I might ask for suggestions on locations, since you probably know the area a little better than I do, so depending on how far in advance you've contacted her, that may be what happened.

But sometimes, like when I'm in my home city, I'll do the same thing - "tell me what area would be easiest" because I really am seeing one person that day, and since I'll be out and about running around anyways, I might as well let him pick the location and work my errands around it. If I'm in an area that doesn't have many drastic changes in hotel pricing, it's no big deal to see one person a day, or wait for where will work for him to book, especially if you are scheduling for more than an hour.  

Obviously everyone's situation is different, these are just some general "probably happened" ones. If you've done your homework and she seems legit, then I wouldn't be put off by such questions. She probably knows what she's doing, lol

Why should it be an issue that she is accomodating you? I will book an area with only one confirmed appointment; I prefer it that way actually. Less traffic and less drama as to everyone knowing where I am located; I am a big fan of discretion. We can have our affair and go about life. Easy Peasy. Too many times I have heard guys say they hate walking into rooms and sitting on soiled sheets and seeing a pile of used towels in a lady's room and feeling like just another number. Yes, as independents we can vary in our volume from time to time, but sorry, you can't have it both ways

Hotel costs are becoming high this time of year, so she probably wants to gauge where potential clients will be when she arrives. If she makes reservations in Silver Spring and she ends up getting lots of callers that want Dupont Circle she's screwed. The way reservations have to be made these days she can't even change hotels without losing money.

The business of escorting is a science, there are better ways of doing these things. I guess she will have to learn the hard way

I also have a 90min minimum for incall. This business is not my only income and i'm hardly struggling.
And....there's nothing that exactly screams crazy to me about "you tell me where and I will get a room".  
If there's no real interest i'm not gonna have a room at the ready at all times just twiddling my thumbs and twisting my nipples hoping for the best. I literally don't have time for that.

Exactly. I am low volume and I have factored that into my rates. Covering a room for a single appointment is typically not an issue, and I try to be accommodating with regard to my date's preferred location when I can be.

INcall changes all the time. And sometimes if I am just seeing one client I just might go to an area that's convenient for him. It's worth getting a room sometimes just for one client. The appt might be w multi hour , so getting a room for one is no big deal at all.  Plus I can Priceline a room.  

  Sometimes I am flexible and I can either be here or there. Your choosing. There are also days though that I will specifically be in a certain area because I have already booked an appointment for that area.

There are too many things to take into consideration that you really don't have to worry about.  Incalls are the hardest to time. 19 people may ask for Tuesday at noon and nobody has time on Wednesday, the next week everybody tries to book Thursday and so on. When we let a guy know we are booking the room just for them it frankly weeds out the flakes.

Also, this is a big evening multi hour outcall city. When the hotel rates are upwards of $4-500 per night that means there are tons of visitors and plenty want company. If you live in this area or visit more than twice a month it is smart business to sublet a crash pad and book incall when the demand is there. Also rates for short notice, one night are usually at a great discount if you know the right sites and apps to use.  

A lady booking a room just for you is more convenient for both, thank her and go have fun.  When the rates aren't so crazy I do keep incall ready more often and advertise it. So do others I assume. Otherwise go with ladies that have static incall or are the occasional touring lady if location waiting is that big of a deal for you.

I hope I didn't ruin your fantasy that most ladies are waiting around in a room with stockings & garters on waiting for a phone call. We may have high sex drives but we are human. We eat, sleep, shop, socialize, sight see etc and get bored without some kind of stimulation.

I like NOT feeling like a number, Jaye.  It's just that I know how much the room costs, and the lady will not make that much.  The lady in question who caused me to bring this up? I've seen her before and I know her, so my security was not as much in question as was my curiosity of "how can this work for her?"  I like most of the people I meet in this business, including her.  I want you to do well.   I'm just trying to wrap my head around why this approach is a good business model.

I exchanged some emails with the lady who caused me to post this thread in the first place.

She said she chooses this method because it works for her, and cuts down on her number of NS NC.  She gets one known gentleman to make an appointment in advance, then gets the room where he wants it and tries to get another appointment or two in that location to increase her return.  It does still sound a little counter-intuitive to me, and perhaps I'm stuck in the paradigm that existed ten years ago, but it works for her, and listening to her explain it, it makes sense.
