You will not post anything negative to a womans weekly ad. Period, end of discussion and no need to discuss this any more.

They get one ad per week. if you have something negative, unflattering, possibly rude, start a new post and discuss it there. Those who fail to follow the rules will find themselves moderated. This isn't to say that you can only throw positive accolades at the providers, you just can't shit up their weekly ads with speculative bull shit and rude comments.

I am a man of my word, so please don't make me prove my point.

Many Thanks,

FUNTIMES61

The only things you can say on a provider ad is compliments. That has ALWAYS been the rule. This board BELONGS to TER, not you or me or anyone else but TER.

Funtimes is a really good guy, you should be glad he's your moderator.  Now here is a link to the posting guidelines for you to peruse. Pay special attention to the 12th rule listed under the "GENERAL POST CONTENT GUIDELINES". If you have any further questions, those guidelines will answer them.

...of what not to do?  Like maybe Rosita's ad from today?  Or is that discussion fair game?  Thanks mod for any clarification.

I recently had an entire thread thrown out when a provider went off with OT rant attacking another hobbyist.  I repeat:  It was completely off-topic from my original post yet I was the one that suffered when my entire thread was pulled.

Now, as a paying VIP, there is the threat of further moderation for posting *anything* you interpret as *possibly* rude?  I'm a rather civil person and have never been tempted to do anything of the sort but I must admit that the insinuation that we, especially PAYING members, have to tiptoe around their posts is frankly kind of insulting.  Perhaps I am being overly sensitive or dramatic, but this is our board!  They have MANY venues to advertise themselves where I as a consumer am not at all welcome; do we need to give them an incontestable platform here as well?

I suspect your goal is to cut down on the trolling committed by those like IKnowSolo/HornyJedi, yet I feel like we are all being accused.  Isn't it stressful enough being a member of this site right now?

I appreciate the work that you do, enough so that I am willing to give you honest feedback and risk the flaming from the in-crowd that I'll probably receive for speaking out.

Thanks... now that some time has gone by I realize I was generally just blowing off steam.  I do very much like our new Moderator, and was not trying to personally attack him.  It just kinda stinks that because of a few childish folks on this board we all seem to get admonished; for some reason the tone of the OP kinda got me a little hot under the collar.  But the real crux of the issue is probably how it seems that the people holding all the cards at this table are the Elite Few and of course certain providers and agencies with whom they collaborate.

I normally hobby overseas and participate on ISG where the atmosphere and camaraderie is normally much, much better and supportive to all.  I do not get the same warm fuzzy from most people here.  Funtimes and a few others however are good people so I apologize to our moderator and anyone else that may have taken offense.

As everyone of you know, we are volunteers. I don't ask for a medal or a chest to pin it on. What I ask for is some simple civility. As you are a paying member for whatever reason you choose to be, so are the ladies.

In that sense, we need to respect their one and only weekly ad. If you have something negative to say, start your own thread, now that we have gotten rid of a few individuals that were causing problems for all of us, I think a situation like your disappearing thread probably wont happen again anytime soon. Sometimes you can only ask nicely so many times before you have to mount a head on the fence post.

I appreciate the thought you put into your reply and the time it took you to do so. I hear you loud and clear and would prefer to not have to make any threatening remarks as it takes too much time and effort to troll each and every post.  If each member just applies some civility to the situation, speaks their mind on a separate thread, we should be fine. I don't consider this to be tip toeing around the girls, the board is designed for us guys, the girls are allowed to post and join us and have fun interacting with us, but it's a man cave at the end of the day.

Now, pass the remote and send along a beer too.

Thanks,

FT61
