The question at the end is a serious question I'd like some rational counsel on this.

(MAXIMUM DRAMA) The set up: I received a job application from a 30′s women who took the time to fill out the form completely, to which I was impressed. Unlike most I read every application first, make my evaluation and then I look at photos. This applicant included a single photo from the top of the breasts up a blonde woman. as I do with all applicant photos we run them to see if they been used anywhere else or if the photos are stolen. Much to our surprise, well no not really, the photo turned out to be an altered picture of Gwyneth Paltrow with the applicants face superimposed the middle. The Story: My initial reaction was to send her an automatic rejection letter, along with a copy of a real photo of her which came up during her background check. However. after some thought I decided to give her the opportunity to explain. After all at least two circumstances which I believe are acceptable one being an honest mistake, she clicked on the wrong photo. The other she really was Gwyneth Paltrow. Of course if you honestly think I believe the latter, I have real-estate in south Florida to sell you. Besides, had it really been GP, that would have been an automatic rejection. Think about it, how long could we keep that a secret? When it did get out the level of scrutiny would put an end to this business. I returned her phone call and explained what Dreams is about and company philosophies . During this conversation I took note of a couple of things. a) She differently tried to control the conversation and sell her self which is understandable, however to the point of over compensation. Yet, she failed to notice initially if she spent less time trying to impress me, more time listening her questions would have been answered anyway. She felt it necessary to mention several times how men find her attractive. Additionally, I noticed she used the phrase “honestly” before several answers. I covered the issues I usually address along with proving we really do run background checks. A certain percentage believe our background check notice is something we just say on the website. She was truly surprised how much we knew about her. Finally, I asked her, why did you send me a photo of Gwyneth Paltrow? She stated she didn’t, that was her. I explained I could send her the original GP photo, then she stated it was her, but with GP’s hair cut but her face in the photo. She then proceeded to become highly defensive stating she didn’t need to justify herself to me and hung up. I was on the phone with a client when she called back a short time later and I was not about to put a regular client on hold to speak with her. Once I was done with the client, I returned her call, she didn’t answer, I left a voice message to the effect of: She was putting her “intent” before reality. Side note: Experience has taught me, people such as these are capable of justifying any negative or dishonest behavior or act when it suits them. Ultimately, she took someone else upper torso photo ( which did not belong to her), imposed her face then submitted on an application as hers. I consider this a deceptive, thank you however no thank you, I will pass. Less than an hour later she calls back and stated something to the effect “of come on lets work this out, you left me a voice mail and it was too long for me to listen to.” I then proceeded to restate what I stated in the voice mail and that we had in compatible value systems.
Of course her reply to that was “really, you deal in whores and you want to talk morality with me? What I want to know is how much money am I going to make and what acts do I have to do.” I smiled as if she was in front of me and calmly stated again, “we have incompatible value systems, thank and no thank you”. Her next statement was an unintelligible expletive and she hung up. OH BUT WAIT, IF YOU ORDER NOW, THERE IS MORE It didn’t come to my attention until I went into the trap file for our applicant line we found some texts she sent. 804-XXX-XXXX: Hey its Gweneth. I have more pics same face with other celeb hairstyles. 12:41 PM

804-XXX-XXXX:: I DARE U 2 CALL ME LOSER The phone lines we use look like cell lines however they are not. Unless your phone number is authorized all texts get shunted into a security folder and never seen. What she didn’t know was if you call us more than 4 times in a row in less than 3 minutes the system may auto block you. This women calls me 25 times in one hour. I guess Maria needed serious validation and was incapable of handling rejection by an escort service; after all men find her attractive. In the process her and an unknown male leaving some rather colorful messages. By he way did I tell you she’s a psych major? Am I offended ? Of course not. That would need a level of emotional investment I don’t have. Am I afraid, as they have convinced themselves? Absolutely not. To be blunt, they are not worthy of yet another return call. I’m amused with a moderate sprinkle of incredulous, covered in a heavy sauce of wow did I make the right call and dodge a bullet. The question I’m wrestling with is should I post the voice mails on my blog for all to listen to ? If I do, how would future job applicants interpret that ? I’m so tempted.

& for the record. If you care to - sub-contract some of the Auditions, I'd be happy to do the "leg-work", so to speak.
* laugh * Last month I actually had an applicant honestly wilt with disappointment when I told her "no honey, I don't do auditions." Looking back on it, I didn't recognize the psych markers at the time. She would have gotten off on the whole "pimp" sex thing. Which means she probably would have followed through with us. Last I heard she went with some low rent outfit. Truth is she would have failed, she was looking for some form of degradation validation. Which means she had a serious victim mentality and that my friend is nothing but trouble. Lee Dreams
