Recently there was a discussion on the on the other board about males answering phones whenever one of you guys call to make an appt...For those in the past that have dealt with Dream Divas know that a male answers the other line besides my line...From the discussion, it appears that some don't deal with  agencies or any provider that has a male answering the phone...Why?  Because either they think they are pimps, boyfriends or whatever the case may be...I can understand why some of you  would say that because I have heard of some of the agencies(pimp  agencies) where you get this rough around the edges guy answering the phone....Hell, I would hang up...I can assure you that Memphis, the guy that answers the phone here at Dream Divas is professional and  is in place to answers questions from a male point of view..Not to say he gives the merchandise a test run becausew he does not..I know I better answer that before it is answered.But sometimes ladies can not answer the locker room questions you guys answer about other ladies..It is not a ploy to imitidate anyone by him answering the phone....Nor do we think clients are assholes when they call as one provider thinks...We do respect our clients in the most high regards!!

I have never had a problem with Memphis he has always been helpful and polite. Not to mention he knows what I like and has made good reccomandations to me in the past. As a matter of fact he told me I should see you when I called to see someone else and they where not available and was glad he did!!!!!!

When he answered I thought I had the wrong number the first time I called back in May. I thought it was one of the providers boyfriends, lol. He was nice enough to call back and mention that he was from dream-divas.

To be completly honest, If a guy answers the phone, with any independent girl i usually will not see her. There are to may different scenerios that could possibly take place but dont get me wrong some of those scenerios are and could be good but most thorugh my own experiences usually turn out to be bad.

I, too have had dealings with Memphis (including in person) & the guy is great.
If Ms Lisa had given better directions, then Memphis wouldn't be needed, however,,,Lisa & her Divas  are GREAT at what they do, but leave the directions to the Men, such as Memphis.

do mind finding a man at the other end of a call to an independent. Even if its someone I already know, it still seems to kill the 'fantasy' part. When contacting an agency, this part doesn't really start until you talk to the lady herself anyway. Just my $.02 since you asked.

By the way that JPG of the New Divas is very nice, I like the nature look from Mya and Rebecca especially (maybe just a sucker for rocks and streams?). I am now thinking about walking down a stream with a fishing pole in hand and suddenly seeing Mya smiling at me and .... hmmmmm! (Yes it starts with a fishing pole! for all you people out there with minds in the gutter LOL).

it does kill the fantasy a bit for me to hear a man answer the phone.  I can't say that it always stopps me from following thru on the appointment process(I DID see Sedona Weaver despite having to set things up with Miles, her assistant)  but it puts me off a bit.  I tend to get a bad feeling and, when it's accompanied by attitude or difficulty reaching the agency (like Belle de Jour of late - sorry Kim...just my opinion) then it puts me off more than it should.  I just would rather it be women answering the phones.

We get that at times as well... me being a guy as one of the owners of an agency I get the "Pimp" persona attached to me from time to time... or I get the ever common question "Do you date any of the girls?" (no is the honest answer-no need to make things difficult)

In short I have heard 50% say they like having a guy answer because if a SO gets our number off the Cell phone bill and call and hear a guys voice they usually discount that number as ok

The other 50% have said it creeps them out when they hear a guys voice (we hear this from people who do make an appointment and tell the girl this)

So we took a 50/50 approach to this... we have a female's voice on the Voice Mail and a Male answers the phones between 8am and 10pm...

We also offer back office support (Ads,Phones,Screening,etc) to quite a few "indy" providers and a female always answers that phone for the reasons listed in the responses below...
