I don't live there currently but I have in the past. And before that I stayed there many times for work. Hotel prices have gone up substantially since that time and, for providers, it seems like reasonable deals are harder to find. Unless you're using Metro, parking has gotten almost as bad as DC. Even with the Metro, some of the hotels are a bit of a walk which isn't ideal if the weather is too hot or cold. And the hotels close to the Metro are those which tend to be more expensive. Tysons, Springfield, Reston/Herndon, and Dulles seem to be the favored areas at the moment.

Interestingly the last 2 providers I've seen were in Crystal City.
I would say downtown as really turned into a 'sex desert' in recent years with so many providers going to Tysons. Crystal City seems to have a little bit of life by comparison.
I remember the old days when downtown had a spa on almost every corner and girls coming from Miami, Montreal and elsewhere every week.. not today.
I think part of the reason is the price of hotels in DC, but the agencies and indy girls must feel the grass is greener elsewhere.

Over the last few years, fewer agencies and traveling independents are doing incalls in CC or PC. It was never close to as popular as Tysons or Dupont to begin with.
.
Some reasons have been mentioned here. The hotel rates are probably comparable to the other places, and its not as convenient for as many guys.
.
One thing that hasn't been mentioned is that since BRAC many of the CC office buildings have been sitting vacant, so there are fewer DoD/service/contractor guys working right there who could conveniently see providers.
.
With Amazon moving in, along with businesses that want to be near Amazon and probably more hotel capacity, I expect things to pick up in general over the next few years. Maybe CC will become a more attractive incall location.

My residence is in the middle of Crystal City and Pentagon City. I rarely advertise and there are so many new platforms that have popped up since TER went down originally. I think that the advertising may be spread out more now you will have to search more. Also, maybe some of the ladies are more UTR.

Traffic is a nightmare around there. Most nice hotels require key cards for elevators. (All undressed only to redress and go 10 floors down to get my date while others in the elevator give side eyes) nah.

I rather not stay there if I don't gave to. But I'll be happy to commute there for outcall.

Right, the keycard thing. There area couple properties around there that require them.

I've found that whenever I've gotten an incall in CC, I usually end up receiving more outcall requests from Woodbridge and farther locations...which makes me feel like I wasted a pricey room.

I will still come to Crystal City by request and with a deposit for incalls.

The aforementioned reasons are also right on point...
