The "hobby types" who are prevalent on this and other boards already know these ladies are scams -- principally because they have zero reviews.  So we avoid them and do not give them the benefit of our business.  Not sure what more we should do here.

As the other poster indicated, these Eros/BP/Cityvibe scams prosper because the vast majority of clients are not "hobby types" and do not spend time writing/reading reviews.  If they want to waste their time and money by not becoming better educated on ladies and exercising their discretion, that's their problem.  I'm not sure why it is worth my time to help them out here.

I am finding it frustrating to see so many faces of beautiful 20 - 28 year old girls advertising for escort services, and it seems clear that they are scams; especialy when they show rates in the $220-$260 range (obviously low for the alleged quality of "beauty") .  I see this a lot on EROS and Backpage.  It seems to me that if "hobby" types would be more aggresssive about weeding this stuff out, then perhaps we could make some of it go away.  It seems that there is a big loss of quality control in this respect and its a bit frustrating.  While I have not been a victim of it in a long time, we all read about the guy who calls one of these and she shows up, takes the money and does nothing to earn it.  Anyway, thoughts on a more global effort to make this go away?

- Please note that, even mistakenly, this makes the ladies sound like merchandise items and
 could be offensive.
- Your accretion on pricing is flawed. There are quiet a few real ladies whom post rates between
200-250/hr. Its a sign of the times. Although I admit that it is less common in this area and other
more well off locals. (L.A, L.V, N.Y, etc.)
- Hobbyist who use these boards are in the minority. Many ladies (and scammers) get along just
fine without use. Yes these boards are a great tool for the real ladies to advertise as it is for us
gents to find them. But there are many guys out there who never make us of these kinds of
boards. And they sustain the scammers.

Please note that this is not to be taken as critical of the OP. I've just woken up after a long night of
clubbing/partying and may come off rougher than I intend.
"Blame it on the Goose" and keep the glasses flowing! A Happy New Year to all!

The cure is just the same as it was so many years ago when the ban on alcohol was repealed.  Prostitution, aka 'the hobby' is legal almost every where on the planet ecept here in the USA!  Canada and Mexico, our neighbors to the north and south, services are entirely legal, but not here.  OK, some counties in NV offer legal brothels and Rhode Island simply does not have laws prohibiting prostitution.  But why force a call girl operator into suicide?  Why close the Mustang Ranch and send the owner into exile in Brazil ?  IMHO, the answer lies within  the current political system.  The incubents serve at the pleasure of those who elected them!  I will leave it at that! Write your congressman, TELL him/her.

...but eros and backpage and other sites with ads aren't in it to provide a safe haven for hobbyists that is free of scams - they are in it to make money, and if, for example, eros decided to "research" their fake ads or the people behind them, all they'd be doing is biting the hand that feeds them - it is a better business model for them to let it go as it is - IMO, as another poster in this thread stated, savvy people on this site can spot the fakes but i'd guess the majority of people seeing the fakers don't do their research, but the only place things get "weeded out" are here and any other review sites...the hosters of the ads have no incentive to weed anything out

eros has a place to submit a complaint for fake ads - it is a bit of a hassle, and i think it even specifies that you need to own the copyright - i.e. being able to "spot a fake" ad isn't sufficient

just my $0.02

For GFE 220 to 260 range is pretty standard honey not necessarily low unless you're talking under 220hr for gfe and so on..... more like 250-ish with a few 300hr or a little more.  Eros costs more I would think because the ladies and clients are usually as far the amount are of better quality than not vs BP.

Homework saves you heartache. Want to weed out bad seeds searching how active she is on some adult sites, posting history, reviews and so on is the best way to start. Just like screening for us it's not 100% foolproof but it helps big time.
