I saw an ad for a very well reviewed visiting provider coming the end of this month.  I sent her an email (her preferred method of contact) providing the screening info she requested.  The email wasn't bounced back as undeliverable, so I assume it went to her inbox and this was 2 1/2 days ago.  My references are pretty responsible and friendly to me, but I haven't received a reply or even an acknowledgment from the visitor.

How long should I wait before I move on to another?

If she post a ad for her to come at the end of the month, let's say three weeks in advance, and you sent it two weeks later. That gives her seven days to look at it and verify you before her arrival. If that is the case, and it's been 2.5 days, I'd probably wait for another two days. I'd move on if she doesn't respond.

Some providers will not reply if the information you sent did not have good reference. They will not give you a reason either. For example, she may try to contact all of your reference, but will give up after she has tried and not let you know. Some providers will literally take less than 24 hours to reply back, and some even give you a reason if there are deficiencies within your reference. For example, if the references you gave her for two different providers did not pick up, she may request additional references.

Usually, I'd give it about four days. I'll start looking else where if they don't respond. I have other things to do to, and will not settle.

If it's not, I'd send her another note, give her 2 days to respond, then move on.
