Admittedly, I'm new to this.  I'm sure some you vets have had this experience so that I don't take too personally.  I tried to set an appointment about three weeks in advance with one of the best-rated area providers who has a screening process (referrals, personal bio, contact thru email, etc.).  I know such info is important for a girl's protection, but I have a need for discretion also, so furnishing this info always feels risky. She informed a day or two later that I "passed".  We talked about a date and time, which she said looked great on her calendar.  

When I contacted her today to confirm, she told me that she doesn't work that day of the week and that she was busy the next.  Man, do I feel foolish taking the time to provide her a bio and other sensitive info when,in that subsequent contact, she acted as if she'd never heard of me or the previous contact or correspondence.  Although she apologized, this left me unsettled.  I guess the rule is "if you wanna play, you gotta pay" - and not be so thin-skinned about rejection or privacy, for that matter.

I have been burned with this type of behaviour in the past. I can remember one time I had to go home from a business trip with $800. Needless to say I found another provider on my next trip. Found out later on that the provider who had problems keeping appointments was not doing so well business wise. Some providers are better organized than others.

Sometimes if you get to know a provider pretty well, they will fill you in on the providers to avoid.

Yes, you are niave.  Skip the local trash and head straight to the Florida agency visiting ladies.  Stick w/ the ones that come here a lot and usually the girls are good.  BDJ, Ultra, BoE, MC, SFE, Sweeties (though Sweeties has sent some less than stellar performers to DC lateley).

They just need a name, drivers license state, cell number.
