The takeaway here seems to be that we providers require certain information that we determine will keep us safe. If you're uncomfortable with what we ask for, you can always find someone who doesn't require those things.

This should be fun, let's focus on that! :)

I’ve noticed that there are several independant providers and agencies here who require you to divulge your real name  even if you have references and our TER whitelisted or on P411.  I’m just curious why anyone in this town would agree to that?  Also why is that necessary if somebody has references that will vouch for you?  I understand that it’s difficult for a newbie but for somebody  who is an experienced hobbyist with many reviews and references?

Providers need to know real name for safety reasons.

Admittedly, I think that this is overly precautious most of the time. It's also unfair, as we all know that men in the hobby are just as vulnerable to harm as are the women, just maybe in different ways.

Either way, it's standard practice for a lot of escorts and agencies to collect your personal information.

Some may be okay with that but this is DC...good luck with that especially if you are an unknown provider. I for one would never divulge that and I have no problem passing any provider who requires it no matter who they are.

If you don’t understand why women who are disproportionately targeted for robbery and violence want to know basic information about who they are about to spend an extended amount of time alone in a room for with limited recourse for action without self incriminating, then that’s fine.

There are providers who screen in a manner that makes you comfortable. Instead of complaining about ladies who take precaution, why not simply cross them off your list of providers to see and move on? There are more than enough ladies who will see you without asking for any personal information to satisfy your every need and desire.

Totally agree!!! No one wants to feel unsafe with someone they are about to intimate with.

If you're that insecure about screening/verification process then you shouldn't be hobbying... most reputable providers require "detailed info" and they should for security & safety reasons!!

cajunman178 reads

That's yet another reason we're "insecure" - spare us your advice about who YOU think should be "hobbying".  Ladies requiring "detailed info", if it includes RL, is for THEIR security and safety, NOT ours.  And what the fuck does "reputable provider" mean?

The lady rationalized her decision to out a UTAH politician due to his hypocritical political positions.  You sisterhood is not helping with your position there babe! ;)

If this, the most recent of MANY, examples doesn't stop you from providing RL info then you're a dumbass!!

Providing PII and paying deposits is totally unnecessary and REALLY STUPID!

I will weigh in every time it's raised with RL (LOL!) examples from here to support my position.  There are many examples, there will be many more.

I too am unsure why this needs to "be explained over and over again" ;)

And I have given my name to escorts for screening.  I thing bad has happened. If you’re not comfortable submitting what she wants, move on and find another escort that is comfortable screening you based on the info you’re providing

I just want to feel safe. That’s all.
If you don’t want to give me your name no hard feelings.

Eden

I have given my info.... haven't had a single problem. Of course, I don't have a spouse to hide things from, or a job security clearance. But really... a lady with class won't do anything with the info other than vet you initially. It seems that most of the higher end ladies ask for the same stuff. I was a little worried the 1st time I gave it out....just because I was green to the hobby. But being willing to give them what they need has certainly opened me up to a much better level of provider. If not.... I'd still be hearing " you have 15 minutes left." 1st....and last time I ever booked a BP girl.....
Do what's comfortable for you.

There are providers out there that have security clearance too not just clients. They have to take same security measurements to ensure they are not meeting a coworker or their boss.

Like I said....I have no qualms giving them what they need to verify me. I was simply stating that I'm not in a position where it could cause me a lot of headaches. But I do my homework.... I only inquire with well established, reputable providers.

PLEASE say this again.

I, too, have credentials that many people are surprised at. And I have gotten requests from people who work with some of the same companies I work with at my day job.

I would hate for a client to show up at my door and when I look through the peephole, have to pretend as though I’m not there. That would be a waste of both of our time.

Completely understandable.... you have every right to protect every aspect of your life.

You can hope, wish and want them to accept only your P411 info, references, etc., but there are those who still insist on having personal information. These ladies do not get my business, plain and simple.

Same goes for ladies who insist I fill out their website form. I have P411 OK's and White Listings here and am perfectly willing to provide other references if asked, but to make me fill out a form on their website just completely turns me off. Here again, those that have that requirement do not get my business.

It's a shame too because there are a few ladies who tour here (and 1 or 2 that are local) that I would like to see but they require one or both of the above.

Just as in any other business, differences in what is required can be found and any of those reasons could be the reason why people chose one place over another.

I do not take these things personally, it is simply their business model. I may not agree with it, but if that is the way they insist on doing business, they do not get mine or my money. My advice (and what I do) is to just move on.

and they are doing just fine with out.

This is supposed to be a fictional site right?
So a decade ago, many of us here made the mistake of giving out my personal info to see some very hot women at several DC agencies and Indies. It was fun while it lasted. But in the long run, many fellow hobbyists got burned when either the women, men and agencies got busted. Personal information that was promised to be deleted, was kept on laptops that were turned over to law enforcement agencies. The DC Madam case was the most notorious. Several high profile reviewers here sang like canaries when they got caught.

So for those that got burned or are worried about your info damaging your career or relationships and family. Keep your info close. Use a verification site and only see ladies that take that info. On the other hand if you have nothing to lose, and have lots of money set aside for Lawyer Fees, go right ahead and be a public hobbyist.

According to Twitter. And nobody ever bullshits on Twitter, right?

Why is it that every time this subject comes up it’s always the same slim minority of providers that have ridiculous, invasive screening requirements coming to the boards screeching about how we don’t care about their safety etc. etc. etc.?

Is it because they need a 15 minute break from answering the non-stop flow of appointment requests coming into their inbox? Yeah, that must be it...

If the personal info requirement was hurting business, then you wouldn’t see as many providers asking for it.

I understand that there are hobbyists who can’t/won’t provide personal.  No big deal, there are plenty of wonderful providers who don’t require that info, rely on P411 or Whitelists.

You use an alias for “good” reasons. Fine. But the concern in the Provider community is the guys who use an alias for bad reasons.  I don’t see a reason for you to get upset with the providers who participate in this forum taking the time to speak on behalf of the providers who don’t bother to visit here. The reason they are back here “again and again” is the question keeps popping up again and again.

it when people fill out the form because it stops all the back and forth emails due to everything being in one places (all your screening info/date requests/a little about you). Before I made people fill out the form, on average it was taking anywhere from seven to nine emails to get everything situated. Now, it's down to three to four: the "Thanks for Inquiring" email, the "Screening is Complete" pass or fail email, & date confirmation email (maybe a misc. one after that).

Then again, I like business models that pride themselves on organization.

If you are seeing a provider and plan on laying down with her, it's not too much to ask to fill out her booking form.  You shouldn't assume just because you have so many reviews and whitelists that we should just suck it up and deal with it. I want an email or my form filled out with that info included in there.  Makes things easier for both parties.

.
Fill out an appointment request with you on P411, would you still require me to fill out your website form or send you a separate e-mail?

I have had a few ladies tell me they still require me to go to their website and fill out their form and I have declined and told them that I was withdrawing my request for an appointment.

Bottom line here is this ... I PAY for my P411 acount and had to give out certain information to them for that account (much the same information you might be asking for). If that and/or my White Listings here are not enough for a lady to verify me, I will simply move on.

I understand there are many different ways to go about doing things here both for the ladies and the gents. I hold no animosity towards any lady who has her way of doing things and will not budge. I simply wish her well and let her know that if anything changes in the future, if she is interested, she should let me know.

Just for the record, there have been 2 ladies who have "relaxed" their rules and I have seen them and thoroughly enjoyed our time together. One I have seen multiple times (and continue seeing her regularly) and the other I will whenever our paths cross.

The real shame for me is there are a couple of local ladies I would like to see but due to their information requirements, I will not. Why? Just look at how many times seemingly "highly reputable" ladies have turned on gents and caused them all kinds of grief. Yes, it happened to me and I will do everything in my power to NOT let that happen again.

Clearly, this needs to be explained again. There is "gentle" screening and "hard" screening. I'm not trying to create a debate but there are reasons for both. No matter what, you are receiving unsupervised access to a person's body. They are allowed to ask for whatever information they feel is necessary; and if it's too much, you are allowed to politely bow out and keep it moving.

Since I joined this realm, there has been a consistent issue with verification sites. Let's be honest,  LE has been known to fake reviews and/or handles, and/or create providers. There was a review board infiltrated by LE in the Pacific Northwest. In the fall of 2016, there were two gents in the Southeast that gave up their P411 accounts to LE. The providers that received appointment requests didn't give it a second thought because all they saw were the list of "okays". There have been clients on P411 sharing accounts; so you think Person A is showing up and it's really Person B. Now, put yourself in the providers shoes; those are ridiculous stories to be on the listening end of or to be the protagonist of.  Unfortunately, verification sites don't hold the same weight as they used to. Many of the providers I know that accept references, go so far as emailing a potential client's last couple of "okays" (because an "okay" is relative") ask for follow up information if necessary, or do screening in person (paid social hour).  While some are cool with just P411 & TER, others will not base their safety on a company who has had so many breeches and busts come from it as their sole verifier.

Yes, screening is never 100% full proof; it's a matter of odds. Screening is truly about mitigating risks. Personally, my civilian career means quite a bit to me & I can't afford to have my clearances revoked. I don't need to see a colleague on the other side of the door. Can this be limiting to those a person sees? Yes. Is there more peace of mind? I would imagine so. In addition, I would think if you're seeing a highly reputable provider there wouldn't be an issue with offering a bit more information; especially if that provider has never had a security breach/issue. And if this provider his highly reputable, why would they interfere with your personal life?  Just my .02.

Maybe we should trust her with our real life info.

Is that what you meant by "clearly this needs to be explained again"? ;)

The problem is, a woman is always highly reputable, until she isn't.

My story is not a third hand account of a "highly reviewed" provider suddenly running off the rails, it happened to me personally and I have hundreds of witnesses to vouch that it happened. "Most" providers are trustworthy, but it only takes one to ruin a man's life forever.

Fairly new around here, but I've run across a couple threads eluding to you being " outed".

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned! Problem is, ya never know whats gonna chap her ass...

She used to live in Dallas and then moved to Chicago, when in Dallas she answered virtually every ISO post with a "pick me, pick me" reply. After she moved to Chicago I thought those days were over, but instead what happened is that she started answering every ISO post on BOTH boards. I called her out for it and got a threatening PM from her telling me that if I didn't start "being nice" to her she would "make me pay"

This is all it takes for some people to attempt the ruin the life of someone else, is it any wonder many/most guys don't want to willingly handover future blackmail material that could ruin their life some day?

Damn..... that's crazy. Must have had a huge pussy if she could service Dallas and Chicago simultaneously!

The most safe way for ladies is to ask for real world info.

I'm a guy so I am going to do what's best for me.  I have never seen anyone who required it, never will.  In our area there is simply no need to.

There are plenty (nearly all) of delightful ladies in the area who don't require it.

Don't be a chump and give your real name - or pay a deposit.

Especially in a place like DC.  I'm honestly a bit surprised that you girls are so intractable about this.  My gripe on this topic is the same with Eros and P411 requiring entertainers' government IDs to sign up:  This is a sensitive business!  It's one that can carry serious implications for people who are discovered to indulge in it, so needing anonymity is perfectly normal.  I'll certainly give a gentleman an option to verify using his real word info if he wishes, but I would never require it if his playtime identity can be verified.

Screening should be fluid and subject to instinct/good judgement.  It should be taken on a case-by-case basis.  Ironically, if you have a screening checklist that never varies, you're probably actually adding risk by relying too much on that process.

I completely agree that it should be a case by case basis. What she said about his "playtime identity" is spot on.

Why not just give her the name of your ex-wife's divorce attorney?  I'm sure he will check out just fine.

Looking at your site, you just request 2 references, and all board handles. I don't think that's an over the top method at all. But many require pictures of I.D., employer, email @ work. Figuratively speaking....stopping just short of wanting your social.
I think that's what these guys consider too invasive.
Each side has good reason for defending their stance on it. But put yourself in the others shoes...
If I came to visit you, then asked to see your I.D. with your full legal name and home address, and your on the books employer info, as well as your work email....would you feel secure giving me that info?
Not saying you're wrong.... not saying they're right, just each has legitimate concerns.

Hence she simply says if that’s not something you can do, find someone else.

To ask her to wear the other shoe was funny, I think you know what should be her reply since she not invasive why should you be?

I’m almost tired of this discussion. We are here to find entertainment and pleasure yes? It’s been talked about forever. That and people always bring up math or current rates.

I’m sure you have no problem finding someone to see that the rates are within your budget and verification is acceptable with you.

I’m considering seeing a well know active highly reviewed local provider where she made it clear, heavy screening will be required. Guess what, I’ll probably give her everything she asks. Why, because it sometimes worth it especially if they have a reputation to protect along with there safety and comfort. I’m retired, an Independent private contractor, not married, no Twitter or Facebook or MSM to protect, so I have less to risk than others, except those like GaGambler who has nothing to risk.

But, even as comfortable I feel, my information and her feeling confident has little to do with us meeting. It has everything to do with the both of us looking to enjoy the time together.

It would be the first time, maybe not the last, but there are no promises so who knows.

There are way more out there who are already to open the door for me. This one is a rare experience for me overall. Hope it works out.

You got me wrong.....
I've done the heavy screening. I don't really give a shit. It probably seemed like I was leaning towards the client side. But I was just trying to say I can see where both sides are coming from. I'm Switzerland here man...

As it's been said many times over, if you don't like a provider's screening requirements or process, find another woman. It's really that simple.

This subculture is not a level playing field and there are hobbyists and providers who are simply predators and have ruined this for everyone. As hobbyists, (and a vastly male population) let's not be so obtuse to pretend we don't understand why a provider would want our name. We're all smarter than that. If you refuse to give out that information, that's totally cool; understand you will not see some of the hottest, talented and most sought-after providers.

There are women who will accept appointments with little to no screening, go to the local stip clubs and get to know thet women, it doesn't take long to find a willing partner and there's always BP.

Take what you like and leave the rest.
