It may be looks, youthful beauty with enough experience to warrent $$$$. Or it may be the services she provides, ie BBBJTC, DFK with enthusiasm, multiple pops. In some cases an agency or indie is simply charging what the market will bear. Sometimes it's the reputation the provider has established. There are still bargains in the $200 - $250 range but without some good reviews you're taking your chances. I'd rather see a gal that warrents $$$$ and really comes through, is there to please, doesn't watch the clock than save bucks on the $250 gal that is dissinterested, unenthusiastic, just waiting for you to get it over with so she can hustle you out the door.

I have been with some amazing $200 and felt like I have been robbed at $350. I just ran across a reveiw that asked for $1200 and it wasnt some know porn star. She didnt even look special. I guess if you can get that much you only have to get one a week and you can live well. Its all marketing.

Now, IMHO, I have found a great deal of difference between providers who's donation is 250 versus those who's is 250. Likewise, those who ask 300 and those who ask 300.

Confused? Well, me too. Extensive regression analysis (well, fairly extensive) has revealed that there is little, if any, correlation between donation amounts and provider quality. So there!

In other words, sometimes you can have a great time with a wonderful girl at 250, while likewise, you might have a mediocre time at 350-500. Some girls just set higher rates to cut down on their demand--they would rather see fewer guys, even if it means less total income.

Personally, I won't see those who ask for well-above-average donations. It's just beyond my financial comfort level. Maybe if I was loaded, it wouldn't matter.

A sense of personal worth in the current market.

For example- I chose my rate because I'm confident that I'm worth it. I'd like to place myself just a liiiiiiittle bit highter up the chain because hopefully it will attract people who can appreciate my confidence.

However- it is true that what a lady thinks she's worth may not actually mean a THING in real life. There are, no doubt, ladies out there charging a lot more for sub-par experiences... but I think that on the whole, you'll find that what most girls charge is worth it (otherwise they'd be out of business.)

It's also important to note not only the difference between $250 and $400, but the difference between $100 and $250, which are rates I've also seen advertised. Something to keep in mind is that the lower the rate, the busier the girl tends to be. That's an issue that matters to some hobbyists.

Bottom line? See ladies at your own comfort and financial level- there are definitely plenty of awesome girls to see that don't charge $400/hr! But don't be quick to discredit those who do charge more- you just might be missing out on something that's worth an extra $50-$150.

From what I have noticed price goes up with the acronyms a provider offers in a session. This is not always the case, but it is a general rule of thumb. For $400 you should expect to get a BBBJNQNS or Greek or both from the provider. Most(not all) $250 providers offer the basic GFE session without the above extra services.

I've paid a lot of money for girls who had nothing going for them but looks.  I've also paid $200 for agency girls who started out saying "no kissing" but after five minutes or so, right about the time they had their first orgasm, I found myself with a strange woman's tongue down my throat.  That's called YMMV and for me sessions like that are the best ones you can have.  Once or twice I've spent 350$, but now I have a rule that I will not, under any circumstances spend over 300$.  Why?  Because for me, I don't see enough of a difference in quality once the 300$ mark is surpassed.  And in many cases, the level of service sometimes declines.
