Review of the reviews shows that most incalls are in Balt or deep VA burbs.
In traffic, too difficult of a schlep for MoCo folks.

I notice that also. I know a few years ago in MOCO they were putting pressure on AMPS. But that was close to 10 years ago.

I would suspect there is a LE presence, and a lot of hobbyist wouldn't like to be seen in their own back yard going into a local hotel. Tysons is 15 minutes away with plenty of activity.

Loudon and Fairfax are #1 and #2 nationally, with Arlington also in the top 10, putting 3 NoVa counties above Montgomery.

Not sure where you get your information, but Howard County is #3.  These figures are from this year's edition of Forbes Magazine's Richest Counties in America.

Given these figures, seems that the girls know their business and follow the money pretty well...who knew they read Forbes?

incalls in Dupont Circle & other downtown DC locations, which may be as much as 50% of DC area activity (no scientific evidence or magazine ref's, just the impression you get scanning TER & EROS).  Of course, if you're Metro-adverse & don't like tough traffic & $ 20 for 2 hours parking, those'd be too much of a 'schlep' for you as well.  But you've got to put some effort into any enterprise, and this hobby is no different.

Loudon is First. The Low Umemlployment rate makes DC and NOVA suburbs great for providers to come here. The Support of the Government Jobs.

you guys arnt that bad off.
A number of very well reviewed providers use Montgomery as a base. Also, BWI is not that far(10-30 minutes depending)a schlep from Montgomery County.
Also, to get downtown, METRO is a workable option for most in Montgomery Cty, long a choice of many highly regarded touring ladies. Tysons is no fun to be sure but this cuts both ways.
Consider if your coming from NoVa to well really anywhere in MD. Not a fun trip unless you make it at..oh say between 1-5 AM.
Sometimes I wistfully think about someone in MD too admit it just aint going to happen as Im in NoVa with limited time frames. But then I look around and am forced to admit things are really very good right where I am.
I think we both may have a case of "the grass is always greener syndrome'..lol

I am coming into town over the weekend and am looking to partake in some fun.
I am doing a bunch of research because if I am only going to see one girl, I want to get it right.
But I am finding that most incalls are in Tysons (whatever that is) and it is about a $30 cab each way, so I tack at least $60 onto my $300.  Or I do outcall, and the $300 becomes $400.
Without a car I guess I am stuck doing one or the other.

Many good providers are in DC and the major agencies almost always have one or two of their best ladies working in the district as well.  You should not have any problem finding a good provider within DC.

If you don't know the area and even if you did; Dupont Circle is in the heart of this city. Unless you are local most would not know how affluent Montgomery County is. I do believe LE is a part of it. Not as much crime so they can pay attention to the smaller stuff. It is true that the counties in NOVA have risen on the list. However with the traffic issues I won't cross that river even if they were paying me.

Depends on where you are staying. Most stay downtown so your problem becomes mute. A cab ride is only 6.00 bucks or in most cases you can walk or take Metro.

You can catch the metro to the West Falls Church Station and catch a cab from there to Tyson's Corner. Much more reasonable. Happy Hobbying!

MonkeyCO is a PITA to access. Not at all centrally located. At least downtown DC or the harbor, the ladies can get around easily. BWI has easy access. Tysons is a true cross-roads and Dupont is, well, it's Dupont.

It has great business and its not a pain to get too. Its got great parking and youo can reach Loudoun in just a few mins from Tysons Corner via toll road, rt 7, 66 or fairfax county parkway!

Im in DC this week, and I had to drive thru Tysons Corner to reach the metro, and it was a major pain!!!! So much congestion! I am used to this however but MAN! LOL

I never stay in DC, but I understand why many like it and ask for it since they can just hop on the metro and get to me easy.

If by comming to town you mean D.C., The metro (subway system) is very extensive and will be able to get you anywhere. NOVA is a bit of a challenge because of it's sprawl but anywhere else inside of 495 (the beltway) is easy to get to.

Virginia is an hour drive from the center of MoCo.
Tysons Corner sucks to drive around unless it 3am. At least DC is metro easy.
There are a lot of people who live here and they have money. They also don't want to live in their cars to get some fun. I guess when the ICC is all done BWI will be an easier shot as right now lateral movement here is slow.

Thanks for the tips, guys.  I appreciate it.
I decided to just have an outcall come to me, and based on her reviews, I am going to have a great night.
Thanks again.

This points out an opportunity for a small feature upgrade for TER -

1. Have provider profiles update the location displayed in search results to display the location recorded in the most recent reviews. Currently it seems that whatever the location was in the providers first review is what is displayed.

2. Either provide a pick list for locations, or some suggestion to the reviewer as to what's appropriate.  "up scale hotel," while accurate, is not helpful.

Just suggestions..

This is a Great Idea!  Since I live on the eastern shore of MD, everywhere is a long drive. I often find a provider ad/post that catches my interest, but find locating the provider service area is almost impossible.  A General location would be useful.
