other than keep our own appointment. Ladies need to factor "cost of doing business" in each of their visit. Sometimes they lose money...So be it. I have personally never flaked on anyone, and have always kept my appointment, but I can't really control what other Johnny boys do. And there are sloppy Johnny boys everywhere - not just D.C area.

The ladies are in business for themselves, and they need to find a way to keep it profitable. I am sure for all the ones that lose money due to cancellations, there are quite a few have every single guy show up and then some more...But sadly those incidents never, or rarely, get reported.

It is on the provider to make the decision to accept a 'date' after screening.  If the client has a good history then all should go as planned.   Anything outside of that is a risk for the provider to make the date.
I don't see flakes or BP providers.  My time won't be wasted sitting in a hotel parking lot waiting for my cell to ring. If by chance that would happen, after 15 minutes I leave.
Both parties have to make good decisions in order for this relationship to be successful.
As previously stated, "shit happens".   Us guys look at this as a diversion from our daily lives and due to having a job to support our lifestyle and hobby, the job and demands come first.  If this means cancelling a date the morning of because of a surprise work commitment that will happen.  All we can do is try to reschedule.

If you can't give her 24 hours, you owe her the money.  Just that simple as far as I am concerned.  They are running a business whether our egos want to approach the hobby that way or not.  They are not seeing you because they miss your dick and can't get laid.

Saw a wonderful provider last week who had a shit-ton of cancellations at the last minute the day before and she was leaning towards not coming back to DC.  Who actually loses in this scenario?  Hint:  not the provider.

As you said this goes both ways. In the past month I have been scheduled on, 3 separate occasions, to see someone, I show up on time only to find out that there was some issue (scheduling conflict, illness, etc) and the appointment was cancelled by the provider. Two of the were with visiting providers. This has happened to me two weeks in a row.  

I am not saying I am perfect as there have been rare occasions that I have had to cancel and I agree there is definitely a residual affect, but as you said we all have our issues from time to time. It's just part of the business.

How does a client pay her cancellation fee if he is not able to see her

Lets say I got an appointment with a hottie at 4:00 P.M, but I get stuck at work at last moment. I am unable to see her that day. Do you think most people would be OK with going all the way to incall, driving 10-15-20 miles, just to drop of her cancellation fee....

There are two ways, in theory, to get around it -

Pre-pay part of the donation through Credit Card or PayPal - Not recommended BTW

Send her cancellation fee through Paypal or Credit Card later on - Not recommended either...

Cancellations are just part of the business...Just deal with it...dammittt..

Due to traffic I had to cancel literally at the last minute.  I offered to stop by the hotel later to pay for the time.  The provider who I had seen only once before told me it was not necessary.  I have seen her since, on time.  I would have paid as poor planning was my fault - she has a return guest as she was gracious and understanding.

This is business to them and only a hobby for us. If they cancel, we lose an hour of commuting time. If we cancel, they lose money and thus affect their livelihood. I know some will say time is money, but I seriously doubt one hour will make any difference for most of us.

If some don't come, it will create vacuum and others will.  What happened after DMV and CDC left the scene. There was vacuum for a few months but in comes BFM, SweetHearts and others.

There are enough professional people in DC Area that can afford the hobby. There are enough K-Street fat cats, I.T professionals, Doctors and businessmen in this area that can shell out the money...

So I am not one bit worried if a hooker or two doesn't want to come back...Its her loss, not mine..

There have been a couple of occasions where I’ve had to cancel at the last minute and I felt that it wouldn’t be fair for me not to pay so I used money packs to compensate the lady. They sell them at almost every convenience store and they are totally anonymous. Buy it, email/text the info to the lady and everyone is happy.
There have also been occasions when I’ve had to cancel due to no fault of my own and I did not feel obligated to pay.
As far as the lady having to cancel at the last minute I figure everyone has “aw crap!” moments and everyone gets the benefit of the doubt the first time. If it happens a 2nd time I move on.
The bottom line is it’s up to the individual. If we treat each other as we want to be treated it all works out in the long run. If someone has a fool proof solution to this one I’m all ears!

For us its really just a hobby; a distraction from our daily mundane life - a few moments of fantasy. For them its a job, daily bread and butter, way to keep roof on their head.

So there is never really the same level of seriousness, professionalism (whatever you may call it) on the demand side, as there is on the supply side.  We all can do our part, but trying to educate adults on this... If you ask me its just a wasted cause.

Recently, at another TER local board, a provider was bitching about one cancellation, threatening to place the guy on the national blacklist. Clearly that was inappropriate and would hurt her business. Other providers indicated that that would be an abuse of the blacklist, rendering it ineffective. However, if a visiting provider suffered from multiple cancellations, I would support her decision to post if she did it politely.

All my cancellations and NCNS's so far  were initiated by the providers or their agencies. I've never started a thread about them, nor do I expect a providers to do it for me. Likewise, as business people, they are capable of handling their business themselves.

Primary reason is the nature of their jobs. Last minute things come up. They should do every one a favor and find providers that take last minute appointments such as the ones on BP.

You got that right. There are groups, clicks, clubs, what every you want to call them, that join together and like to schedule then cancel. In Atlanta they made a practice of calling in a provider to visit then the group filled in her dance card then everyone canceled. Next thing they are doing is asking for discounts thinking she must be desperate now. The provider who told me this story refused to see anyone of the guys who canceled on her and posted their information across every DNS board there was.

She actually did well but decided to never return to Atlanta again.

Please be sure you define who it is that cancels. Well known hobbyist, or someone new? Most of the cancellations I have been told about are from new guys who are not TER, or TER with few or now reviews.

There isn't much that can be done by the guys to prevent this from happening. It's up to the ladies to decide if it's worth coming based on who they scheduled with. Were they well known TER men? Or someone new? And once they get here if they are canceled on, decide what to do to help others. The well known TER guys might cancel with an emergency, do you blacklist him? Well you might post it to the ladies board to see if others have had the same problem.

For those who are new clients, the same thing, post to the ladies boards to see who else might have come across this guy. If you find out he has a habit of this, go on put him on the DNS boards with their personal information for EVERYONE to see.

There is nothing you can do about the boys clubs that do this just to cause trouble and possibly get discounted later when the provider is desperate, those guys are sooner or later going to have their shit plastered across the internet for everyone to see. But most think themselves slick enough and aren't providing any personal information.

Of course you sir have an agenda posting this hahaha. But that's OK. Stand up and advocate for the change the ladies need.

Oh, I'm sure if you reached out and asked a lady to come in town and was willing to invest a few hours into that date, they would come.

What pisses me off is when theres a no call no show..this happens a lot and i know a lot of providers do not like it. Just today, i had a regular who booked me but no called no showed on me..which made me disappointed! I would prefer at least a call to cancel . Why stand a lady up? Ughhhhh

Providers are like any other self employed person, they have overhead and are in business to make a profit - so treat them like it - when I call I simply ask, "what is your schedule like today" so I have a better understanding of their time demands.  Virtually every girl has said, "wow...that's very considerate of you."
And, I'll tell them my travel plans, "I have 20-miles of traffic to get to you - I'll be leaving early and will update you on my progress" that goes along way to easing their sense of anxiety - when I arrive they seem to be in a better frame of mind.

Same with me. I had a provider that I was going to take on for the team, do the same to me today. I posted on the Maryland board. Glad I had a back up plan so I would not get blue balls, lol. I was lucky to be in an area that was not so far away from one of my regulars.
