I surely spend considerably less time reading other ladies ads and posts but rarely do I come across NBA disclaimers.  

None of the ladies I personally know care about race of their potential patrons.  White, yellow, black - how would we know when all initial contact is done via email? And let me assure you, there is absolutely NO DIFFERENCE in a way educated well mannered men of various races conduct themselves when they contact a lady for potential encounter.

As for you "pretending to be African American", what exactly did you do?  Called her and played out every bad stereotype you could think of?  If that's the case ... that speaks volumes about both you and provider in question.

It refers to a female that partakes in certain substance abuse.  The substance is white and looks like snow.

Problem with making provocative posts on discussion boards is absence of non verbal communication.  Your original post implied that you purposely dumbed down your manner of speach and that just seemed silly.

Whether or not we like it, there are certain stereotypes.  As Eastern European i have had to encounter certain stereotypes myself, thus potentially heightened sensitivity when it comes to generalizations based on a person's ethnicity/national background.

Prior to becoming a provider i had spent number of years in financial services industry and russian (even light russian) accent always remained a detriment.  Now, it I only spoke as proper brit vs  outspoken New Yorker with light eastern european accent ... but then I probably would not have told my last boss to go f himself (grin)

Even as Gentleman's Companion I often have to encounter certain "russkie" preconceived notions.  Honestly, when I read "she is russian but you can understand everything she says" in my reviews it makes me chuckle.

So i guess I may have somewhat biased reaction to all these "race" discussions.

After reading your explanation it seems that provider you contacted in your experiment is trying to capitalize on NBA policies that SOME ladies may have.  To me it says she has nothing else to offer that would put her in category above her competition.

Once again, communicating via internet allows us the benefit of intellectually stimulating exchange with people geographically removed but it limits non verbal communication, such as tone of voice and facial expression.  One of my favorite stories  is about Spanish writer who refused to give radio interviews. His response was "how can I speak when my audience can't see me to it?"

up. NBM (No Black Men). Hey, there is always somebody here to accommodate to the African American community, and has a preference too.

Sure, there may be many NBM ads, but every once in a while, you can find a snow bunny that likes African American men. Hey hey hey! BTW, she's real, I called her pretending to be African American, and she say's she's attracted to the skin tone of African American men. Boooyaa!

The term snow bunny dates back to the 80's, where pimps would advertise Caucasian women to potential clients. Being white at the time, means, that she was more valuable than African American girls. Some reason for this is, the taboo of white girls providing, and the limited amount of white girls that were providing at that time. Please keep in mind, that the pimps in this case ran streetwalkers, not how it is today with technology.

To keep his clients satisfied and interested in his business, the pimp termed the phrase, "snow bunny". Snow, which represents white, and bunny, which represents a vulnerable animal that predators prayed upon. The catchphrase has caught on and was spread by pimps who pimped out streetwalkers. For example, the pimp calls his clients to let them know that he has new talents, and mentioned the word snow bunny, which draws in the client to ask what it meant. Consequently, it caught on, and providers have been using that phrase ever since--if it is plausible.

Currently, the term snow bunny is used in the same way. If you noticed, most girls that advertise to African American men will use the term snow bunny in their ads to immediately attract the viewer. As a hobbyist myself, I can testify to it. For example, when I look at these ads, and I see the word "snow bunny", I can immediate know that its a white girl, and more than likely, the acculturation of her lifestyle relates to the African American culture without me even clicking on her ad.

Now, do you consider yourself a snow bunny? Technically, you are not, since you are Native American. But, again, with the term is used so freely, and since your skin color is white, you can consider yourself a snow bunny. You pick, I'm not gonna decide for you. If you need credible sources as to the origin of "snow bunny" to satisfy your curiosity and my credibility, then please feel free to let me know.

First, I am very familiar with you, and I appreciate your feedback. So, I will be mindful of my manners. The frequency of NBA in the DC area has increase, also, on the GD board, and other boards. This is evident in the providers ads, resulting in post that question the real meaning of their intentions and "preference".

The reason for my OP is to contradict some of those post, that not all providers will discriminate against African American men. Also, it brings relief to the African American community that some Caucasian girls have a preference for African American men only.

I called her and talked to her as I would normally do with any other provider or person(s). I am professional by nature, and that resonate in my conversations. So, I called her and talked, and told her I was curious as to why she put that on her ad. She asked me, "are you black", I said, "yes", and she told me her reason. Simple enough. BTW, it was her that had the stereotype of sounding "ghetto", not me. It was off putting to hear her talk in that manner.

Anyways, I hope I was able to clear your misconception about me, and to the incident. You are a great and fantastic provider BTW, and I appreciate your thoughts. My thread is not meant to be stereotypical in any way, but, I see that others may view it in that manner. So, I will be mindful if I post something like this in the future. Take care!

I've been in the hobby game a long time.  I joined TER in 2001.  While I have come across ladies who publicly publish and those who selectively exercise the NBM rule I must clarify from MY experience it is the EXCEPTION rather than the rule.

So your wording in your tag-line/title of your post "All These NBM" ads is more hype than reality from my experience.  As a matter of fact it has happened so rarely with me that when I have been confronted with the NBM rule it takes me surprise and catches me off guard, hence, I for a momentary space in time, get my little feelings hurt.  Then I quickly remind myself.  It's the nature of the game and move immediately to the next ad and proceed to enjoy myself at the resulting apppointment.

Don't believe the hype.

I have been hobbying for a while too. I would say for every time I encounter a NBM rule I encounter 30-50 very welcoming ladies of all ethnic backgrounds.  Also, understand that any woman can have this policy.  There is a lovely African American woman who has this rule as well.  

We all have the right to have a preference......
