There's so much weird BS being posted that I think one simple fact need to be put out there.

THE FACT: What happened in Montgomery County happened in Montgomery County.

As of now, no other area is affected by recent events aside from agencies that had multiple locations outside of Montgomery County.

For now, just stay out of Montgomery County and that's pretty much it.  What happens in the future is speculation, but what's happened as of now remains a MoCo PD thing.

the sudden disappearance of a VA lady recently has me wondering. there's a client who visited with MD folks where the MD ladies became embarrassed. same client has been talking up VA ladies.

you may be right. i wouldn't bet on it.

1) a seriel robber who enters homes at night;
2) a seriel rapist who works the east coast
3) gang violence and activity
4) drugs

so absent citizen complaints, blatantly public activity that's hard to ignore, or underaged/illegal immigrants as providers, the taxpayers aren't pressing for action against providers or hobbyist.

That said, it amazes me how in this down economy, some (but not all) agencies and providers have gotten very explicit and brazen intheir ads - with mention of specific acts, incall locations;

many new and younger providers not only lack the sense to check references, but often I'll google a phone number (which i always do), use "whois" to see who owns the domain name (another safety check) and in one or both case find their real name, address, etc.  Anyone who fails to take these basic precautions is just setting themsleves up to be subjected to surveilence and more.

There are plenty of very high quality independents around, who have an established record of reviews spanning several years, are obviously not underage, and who can be confirnmed via a service such as date-Check or by multiple reviews by established hobbyists.  The risk of disaster is minimize if you utilize them - and frankly, there the ones we should give our financial support to so they remain in the area and involved in the hobby.
