Sounds like enough time to me. I'm pretty relaxed I ask for half hr to hr at the closest so imo if she asks you to confirm the day of then I don't see why 3hrs wouldn't be.

If I have set up an appointment a day in advance and the provider asks me to confirm the day of, is 3 hours before the session long enough to confirm?
Thanks

You ask her what time she wants you to confirm?

It was yesterday and apparently  3hrs wasn't  enough. She ncns. Just wondering if most people confirm further out.

If they tell me to call the day of to confirm I allways say sure what time would you like me to call? Then there is no question

I emailed 3 hours before an appointment that I had to cancel. It's due to work reasons, but I didn't write a long story, just a "sorry I need to cancel, I apologize, etc." and I got chewed out for not knowing what I can do with my time...

lol, that's a first...

So my question... I guess 3 hours is not enough time to cancel ahead of time?

This is why I don't like to make appointmens ahead of time b/c things like this happen. and on the flipside, there are some providers that i would love to see that insist on scheduling ahead of time. oh well. C'est la vie.

That's rude either way but what was her policy on cancelling? I've seen some require 24hrs at least if you'll cancel unless it's some serious emergency and you can't that far in advance.  Nothing wrong w/ advance appts just while scheduling inquire her cancellation policy if it's not on her site.
