I remembered you helped me out with CT. It's only right I chime in.
I visit DC often. Personally the city or just outside the city is fine. When I go I visit Nova area
the thing about NOVA I love is that most of it is hobby friendly. Tysons Corner, Arlington, Alexandra the list goes on. I personally like them all. I don't really stay in the thick of the city but tons of ladies like DuPont Circle so it is popular I'm sure you will like it there as well.

I find being near the metro does wonders!
Pm me if you have any questions.

Is it best to stay right in the thick of it or perhaps a little outside in VA? I would really appreciate any information. My last trip was ok  but I'm really striving for AMAZING 😊

What is the metro?  I stayed in Dupont Circle on my last trip to dc. I didn't love it.  I am liking the idea of nova.  I will research hotels near this metro once I know what it is. I'm assuming it's a train.

It's the train out there. I forgot the full name of it but it's definitely referred to as the metro at least that's what I notice. If you are looking into NOVA there are plenty of areas for you to go to. Really either option is fine but I'll send you a PM.

The metro is the main public transport here in DC.  Though it's way behind on upkeep (I'll let you search the news if you're interested), it's super valuable for avoiding the parking lots we call highways here.

If the hotel is metro accessible, they will typically say so on their website.  It might not hurt to call and ask how long a walk it is, though.  15 minutes sounds good, unless it's 100 and humid.  ;)
