I was just wondering if anyone out there can tell me why the majority of ts providers are of latina, black and asian decent?

It doesn't take a rocket scientist or even an arm chair sociologist to answer your question rifraf.

Why don't you try some professional publications on the matter, try Amazon.com, they have more than any.

Then maybe you'll learn about gynandromorphophilia and just where you fit in, regardless of our ethnicity.  And the "our" are not transsexuals, not even an official medical or psychological description anymore.   Try Shemale, that's what marketing is about Honey.

Give the guy a break Danielle....he asks a sincere question and you give him homework.  rif has 3 posts to the board which I commend and I could find NO reviews on you so what's up with that?  I'm no rocket scientist but after reading your answer to his question, I still don't know the answer to his question. If you reply...be sure to keep using big words, and please sarcastically call me honey too.....big turn-on, but then again, I'm no rocket scientist!!

Thanks for sticking up for me yarollag. I did not intend to offend anyone with my post and I am sorry if I did. I dont care about what nationality a provider is as long as she is a good provider. I am just wondering why so many ts providers are ethnic.

The answer by Danielle is EXACTLY why a lot of TS or shemales have a bad rep. The guy asked a legitimate question  and I always kind of wondered the same thing. He was not condensending at all.
In my view only, I would think that there are just as many caucasion Shemales as Latins, Hispanics, Asians and Blacks.
I just think that the caucasions choose not to work as providers while the others do.

whatever means possible would most likely drive the would-be MTF transitioner into provider status to pay for his/her transition - and generally speaking the white folk have more money/opportunity to start with, thus less need to work in this still-frowned-upon field.... Although in my more reflective moments i wonder: with the modern (post-internet-advertising) proponderance of cute college co-eds moonlighting as providers, why aren't there a few more ts providers in similar situations? Perhaps it's hard to keep up your grades mid-transition?  Perhaps they see a brighter future post-op and/or do not wish to be later identified as ever having been 'male'? This could become a doctoral thesis relating the effects of race and race prejudice on gender identification vis a vis social status, economic opportunity and the moral acceptability of 'providing' as a profession. Or just more fodder for a hobbyist discussion board. Whichever, i encourage the ts providers to join in - regardless of how sarcastic or defensive they feel obliged to be. Bring it on Danielle! p.s. there ARE some beautiful white 'shemale' providers out there, so maybe this whole point is moot. But i dig the discussion! ;-)

Well... if it helps, I didn't understand her answer either.  I read it about 5 times and still ended up with "huh?"

Anyway, It does seem like there are not as many white girls, but I think part of that might just be the location you are in.  Certainly in a place like Los Angeles, you will have more Asians and Latinas in the population, hence, more of those girls.

Other than that, it's hard to say why.  I don't think one culture over another is generally more or less accepting of TS girls.  I know girls from all races that have been rejected by their families, but also, some that have been accepted that are still providing.

Now I have a question for you guys.... Are Asian and Latina girls in more DEMAND than white girls?

Nice to see an intelligent response from a TS/shemale.
I have never seen as Asian TS and have little interest. I think if anything, the white gals are more in demand here in NYC since there are so few of them.
I don't think it's an LA. thing. I am in the NYC are and believe me, 80% of the TS gals are Latina.
My personal favorites based on experience are the black TS gals.
Just my taste.

Im no expert, but perhaps part of the reason is the costs overseas of the medication/medical procedures. Is it less expensive in Asian and South American countries?

I'd be interested in seeing a good looking white shemale in Boston that provides excellent service.  I've seen a couple and the services and or attitude was lackluster.  I've had my best luck with the travelling girls - regardless of race.  Then again, I try to be discriminating.  I like to top, want multiple pops and prefer my ts's to be very passable.  Adding white to that just seems to be one variable too many to make the equation work.  If anyone knows differently, let us now.

Even me for what ever reason has no good answer to your questions guys? I am how ever a caucaisan postop provider here in SD. I am happy I got into the escorting buisness, because I love it. But truth be told the reason I am in it is because it got really bad in the strip clubs here in SD and in LA,no $$$ and I used to dance all the time (with no one knowing about me beinga TS).
I personaly don't hang out with other TSs or (I hate to use the term) She-Males.
I do keep to the TS pages on Eros and EX only because I like to stay honest and safe. All it takes is one redneck homophobe to find out that he was with a TS and buh bye! I hate pain!
I to was baffled by the original thread? But if you ever want you can always PM me here, and ask questions. I am always open to ed-judicating you guys! HeHe
Be safe!!! Kylie

Trannies have worked in the sex business since the days of Christine Jorgensen (1960's and 1970's), then and now there have been differences between how minority and middle/upper class trannies earned their livings.

In the old days before there was an established market for trannie providers, they worked as women called "knobers" on the street. These trannies would trick a date into seeing them and then say they could not provide full service because they had: their periods, just gave birth, had an abortion; hence the term "knobers" since their dates only got hand or oral.

Needless to say it was mainly poor and minorities that worked the streets. Upper and middle class men that were "trannies" simply kept living/working as men and would go out "dressed" on weekends or to special parties. In this way they kept the best of both worlds, in that their social economic status did not suffer and they were able to  maintian comfortable lifestyles.

Today many white trannies from the same backgrounds pretty much do the same thing. That is not concenrating so much on transitioning until after they have finished their education, started careers and built up savings. The added benefit of working is these persons have health insurance, which is increasingly offering to cover part or the entire process of transitioning. This takes a huge financial burden off a "girls" shoulders.

Minorities and lower income whites are not likely to have the same educational advantages/family background which would have  allowed them to persue the normal scheme of things: go to school, get good grades, graduate and start a career. Add to this being outcast from their familes and community which means these persons normally have to become self-reliant very fast.

You now have persons with little or poor education, poor social skills, perhaps gender indenity and other psycological issues as well. These are not the kind of persons one finds at Harvard law; but a life of outside the law. In a sense the provider trannie community becomes a place where these persons feel wanted and receive the attention/affection many probably lacked growing up and are still lacking today.

Lately we are seeing quite few young trannies come out of minority communites where in some instances "working" is not seen as such a bad thing, and one has to make a living the best way one knows how. Rap music constantly tells of "hoes" getting their money and rap videos show women basically offering themselves for sex to get money. To a young trannie in that community this is a powerful message. It tells them to use what they have to get what they want.

What is bad is that after one or two arrests on moral turpitude charges, these girls are now almost unemployable. More so these days when most all employment applications require disclosure of criminal convictions and fingerprint/court record background checks. This is where I think white trannies and some others draw the line between a temporary action to get over hard times verus a career. They know that staying too long can result in an arrest which will jeopardize everything they are working for, not to mention shame and humliation, so they do what they have to do and get out.

Sadly also there is still a fair amount of discrimination against minorities, and being a trannie does not help matters.
Passing is very important, all the trannies I know that work in the St8 world are totally passable and are employed as "women". To do this they have had to not only look like women but *ACT* like ladies. Too many trannies may look like a woman but cannot behave in the  manner society expects of a woman.

Most good jobs come about more by who one knows than what one knows. If one goes to a good school, meets certian people and or their parents have connections it is likely they will receive help in their search for employment/starting a career.
However coming from the other end of the spectrum, one has to work  hard to over come certian disabilities.

In short persons end up as providers out of several reasons, most usually necessity. This necessity can be temporary or become a career choice. For those with options it is a means to and end; to others without options it becomes a lifestyle.

Typical response from a TS provider and shows the reason why many have a bad rep for rudeness and attitude. To be quite honest I would say that about 95% of TS providers are rude and have an attitude problem. The other 5% should be treated like and considered gold.
