Talking about change was one thing, accomplishing something is another matter.  I assume he will be a worthless lump like most politicians(as I'm sure McCain would have been as well.)  Hopefully I will be proven wrong, but I doubt much will change.

He has one heck of a challenge ahead of him, thats for sure.  Lets hope he keeps his promises.

Both parties have become polarizing to
the average American. Both parties voted 100% for banking " Deregulation " . Both parties voted for NAFTA to aid in corporate short term greed eliminating middle class jobs to overseas cheaper labor,but reducing the long term ability to buy the goods and services they are producing,
We live in this bubble together and both parties need to realize it.

it's actually really simple, it boils down to greed and power by everyone!. big oil, big business, banking, wall street, stockholders, politicions, and the american public for wanting things they really can't afford! it has never or ever been about gender, religion, sex, political choice, or the color of a persons skin.

The generation of our parents wanted something better for us , our workplace, our country,

Don't see what was so cool about it. People are making a big deal about the fact color barriers are broken down. Tell that to Hillary Clinton and her supporters who saw Obama get over 90% of the black vote. If this country truly was not voting based on race the history that would have been made last night was the first women in the white house.

In this Country as great as it is there are a lot iggnorant people that have passed down there lack of known to there kids, people worst then any Archie Bunker could ever be. Be warned they will try and then there will be trouble for all of us. Just remember what happened in the 60's this time there wont be any calmming down I am scared for him because their well funded iggnorant people

Do we deserve something just for being or should we earn it by working for it as I was taught. And thanks for the comp on the name.

From my perspective, you can just as easily substitute the word "democrat" for "republican" in the authors over-generalized statements.  I think the primary difference for the author is that the author supports the morality espoused by the democratic party and when they want to use force to compel people to comply it will somehow become justified.

What promises did Obama make?  Any time I ask a supporter, I only hear vague soundbites.  When I ask for specifics, they always try to change the subject.  I'm genuinely curious.
