...is that most transgender folks, and providers in particular, generally don't like the term "tranny." Tgirl, trans woman, transman, FtM, MtF but "tranny" and even "shemale" are considered to be pejorative terms.

But agree that tranny is the word newbies should avoid when addressing potential providers.

while some trans women don't really have a problem with the word trans, you probably won't find more than a small handful that will be ok with anyone other than another trans person saying it. As for shemale, your playing with fire there are are likely to get jacked in the mouth of you said it to one of us....

term shemale will eventually make its exit from scene.
the shemale strokers platform recently changed to transational xxx
before that grooby got on road to phasing out using it as well (they had taken over platforms like shemale yum and shemale japan and so rebranding is not a quick and easy fix)
and yes, i still use shemale tags for much of my stuff since search engine results still rank it high (put "shemale escort los angeles" in a search box and you'll see what i mean).
i'm not warm and fuzzy about it, just still a part of doing the survival shuffle every day
