I have no issue with providers posting ads, I welcome it.  What I think is wrong is a provider posting an ad that asks us NOT to review her.  I think that is her right and prerogative to ask clients to not review her.  It is her business to run as she wishes.  On the other hand, I think it is wrong to post ads on a review site and say no reviews.  If you post on a review site, expect reviews.

Providers not wanting reviews should post ads on ad sites. Period.

Or they could just engage on the discussion board and don't place ads, that would be ok too, in my opinion.  But to just come onto the site to place ads and say no reviews....wrong.

I can understand her point of view but I believe anytime you provide a service to the public it leaves the gate open for one to review,critique & so on. I'm obviously very immune to this being a provider. Your original post made a general statement about a specific girls request to not be reviewed. I simply made a general statement about you not writing reviews or being active in the past 3 years. The point was, she has every right to promote herself here just as you have every right to question why she wont be reviewed, even though you don't even hobby anymore. Being you haven't been in the hobby for many years perhaps you don't know the current risks of having fresh reviews. When asked, I always tell a gentleman i prefer him not to write a review...if not asked, that's fine if he reviews me. I just don't need the extra exposure and all that's associated with LE monitoring this board. But I don't mind if a hobbyist that gets into review writing, actually writes one. I just don't need excessive reviews.

Sure I do but I agree with basic logic.  The provider he is speaking of is someone I have met.  I actually respect her decision to remain private and have no reviews posted but does a homeless person stand outside of a 99 Cent Store and ask for money?  NO.  You don't demand that reviews not be posted on a review site. With respect, Jasmine, I have to say that if anyone is at fault here for stoking the fires of this argument, it is YOU. foodcritic posted what I think is a very reasoned opinion (one that others apparently agree with, so he's not alone), then you came in and started taking shots at him, basically accusing him of being unworthy to post an opinion about ANYTHING TS-related because "he doesn't post reviews." That's a ridiculous argument; are we not to say what we think about movies, for example, because we don't review them for a living? And when he goes on to (politely) defend his opinion, you double down on your criticisms like a Fox News commentator and continue to attack him. Doesn't matter that you did it politely, it was still an attack. And finally, when it became clear that foodcritic wasn't going to be intimidated by you, you got in one last shot at him before taking your ball and going home.

I don't know you personally, Jasmine, and your reviews show that you're an excellent provider, and I'm sure that's true. But this exchange does show me that you have a very ugly side to your personality, one that will try to bully and intimidate others that you don't agree with, and like a bully, will simply act superior and walk away when it's clear they aren't winning. Like any other provider, much of your business depends on public perception, and right now, your perception is taking a beating with these petty displays of pique. I shouldn't have to tell you this.

It just seems odd to me, why ask for the business, but not want anyone to share what happened during the experience?  If I were a provider, I would be stoked on positive reviews.  This is after all...A review board.  We come here to check out reviews to make sure that we are getting the service we are looking for.  There is no better business bureau in the escort business, reviews are all we have to keep up on what is going on.

I have no problem with anyone stating their opinions, really. But if you're a provider, your business depends on the goodwill of the public, and presenting a positive attitude is key to keeping that goodwill and attracting further business. As such, wouldn't it be in a provider's best interest to *take it private* if she wants to unload a steaming pile onto the head of someone else? Sure, do it if you want, but don't let the public see it, not unless you want to drive away future business by showing potential clients your bad side. I mean, the last thing you want a potential customer to think is, "Damn, she's got a bad temper/attitude, don't want to risk getting on her bad side, maybe it'd be safer if I saw someone else." Sure, it's just one lost sale, but those lost sales can add up, especially if/when word gets around.

I am in complete agreement with your post. I have completely lost interest in possibly seeing Jasmine due to this thread.
