One of my screening tools is calling a new client in their hotel room through operator (eliminates a lot of spoofers).  
With more out-of-towners staying at Air BnB type accommodations, are there any potential screening tools particular to such?
There's already a great discussion thread below on general verification tools (references, deposits, etc.), so it'd be nice to focus here on the Air BnB situation.
