Heading to San Jose on Friday. Thinking of heading up to Divas for a solo visit. I am new to San Francisco and the surrounding area of Divas. Read some of the past posts and am concerned about the area. Any tips, time to get there? Etc. does it get busy on Friday days as well as nights with girls. Thanks in advance for the response!

The area is a bit of a skid row area. Keep your head up and shoulders square when you walk. You'll be fine. I didn't think it was that bad at all. I know some people have complained about it, but I think their complaints are overblown. I never felt threatened at any point when I was there, even when I had to step over a passed out (dead?) bum leaving a girl's apartment. There are people everywhere, it's very crowded. Yes there are a lot of bums and sketchy characters, but the majority of people there were regular folks. It's totally worth it too...

Im from the Bay Area and have been to Divas a few times... It is a hit or miss with the crowd. If Im not mistaken its cute on a wednesday night (schoolgirl night) Fri and Sat are kind of relaxed. As far as the neighborhood couldnt have been explained any better than the first response.

I was there around 10 and it was packed with girls. So were the nearby streetcorners...
