I haven't been to TJ in may years. i would like to go down and play with those "special girls with something extra".

I have tips on several clubs. I've heard The Bambi, Marekketch, San Souci and El Tigre have what i'm looking for.

Would it be reasonably safe for me to go alone if I am sober?

You are safe.  Sans Souci is closed (that was my favorite).  Most of the clubs mix gg and t-girls.  The T-girls are not eager to identify themselves.  You have to make it clear that you know and you don't mind.  They will try to sell sex but do not leave the club: that is where you could be in danger.  Bring HEAVY DUTY protection and wait for someone pretty.  Bring lots of singles.  You don't have to throw big bills around to have fun.  You WILL have fun.  I guarantee it.

I've been to all those clubs by myself.I felt like i was safe although I tried to be very aware of the surroundings. I was pick pocketed quite nicely once, so be very careful where you keep your money. The clubs have run hot and cold with talent.Good luck. Also, the girls can be very good at passing themselves off as women, and reluctant to let you know. You need to ask for a special girl.

I go to TJ about once a week (to the Zona Norte).  I think its safer now compared to a few years ago.  I always walk to and from the border, at all hours of the night, instead of paying for taxi's.  There are police that will randomly search you though so don't have any drugs or weapons on you or you're in big trouble.

I had sex with a gg many years ago in TJ. The girl took me to a little room in the back of the club.

It is safe in TJ and of course quasi legal, i.e. not illegal.  Bambi's always has a super selection beautiful "women".  They do try to hide the fact that they may not be GG, but tell them you like a "pene" and they will be very open. There are two close hotels that you can go to, for about $15 per hour.  Better to go there than in the bar.  Tell them you will meet them there or follow them at a distance.  Hotel Lorena is one.  San Souci is now GG.  You can also ask a cab driver for "travesti" and he will take you to first ave, where the "girls" are waiting along the street.  Again there are many short time hotels around.  Do hide any extra money you might have, perhaps in your shoe.  $40 to $50 plus hotel should be all you need.  Once you get used to the system you will be there on a weekly basis.  TJ is like an adult disneyland so have fun.

I'll be back in TJ on a weekly basis. I went to Bambi's first. I was sort of "attacked" by a GG as soon as I walked in. I was tempted to take her because she was beautiful....that and I couldn't get rid of her. As far as I could tell there was only one TS in there. It is hard to tell with those TS's down there though. I decided to look at some other places. I went to the place just a few doors down from Bambi's. They had several TS beauties in there. Just unbelievable. I had one come up and didn't know she was a TS until she told me, and I don't drink. I left the place with her. Everything went well.
