A little off topic, but seeing those prices makes me doubly thankful that I'm heading to Thailand next month! Lets see, I believe the going rate for an hour session with an exotic lovely still runs about $28 there.

Yes, there are some hot, cheap girls in Bangkok, but in Thailand they aren't paying $2,000 a month rent, $350 car payment, $100 for insurance, $200 gas, $600 food, $300 health insurance, $35 for a lipstick, etc.
You may get laid for $28 but it takes a week to go and return, and costs you $1,000 to get there and $1,000 expenses, not to mention lost wages while you are gone.
Suddenly that $100, $200 or $500 you pay locally doesn't seem quite so bad.

First off, I rarely have a problem dropping 200-300 for a little fun here in America, but let me tell all you interested punters out there that Thailand is a ladyboy paradise on Earth. There's not a few "girls" available in the LOS, there's literally thousands with a combination of charm and beauty that is only availble in the best of the best here in the US. JaTG is right about the huge expenses we all pay here at home, but it's all relative as the average Thai income per capita is only $2,000 a year. It does not take a week to get there & back by jet! but it is a good 13 hour flight each way, and yes you can easily spend 1000 for a flight. I paid 930 roundtrip for a deluxe business class seat (comfy) but I saw econonomy tkts. for 630. Hell, I've paid that much for a LA-Miami roundtrip! But I'm gonna pay airfare for any vacation trip I take, same with 1000 expenses. Those costs are paying for extended downtime on world-class beaches, out of this world food, scenery, culture, history, and truely escaping from my job for a couple weeks. As a bonus the Thais genuinely like the Americans and are gracious hosts. So at the end of the day I've got the vacation paid for, and a gorgeous ladyboy at my side for 3-4 GFE hours at an additional $30. Another $50 (or less) & youre into full overnight service. Often times a $100 date can also include heading over to a remote island beach for an afternoon in the surf and sun with your love du jour. Even if I was inclined to include all the expenses that I'm putting out for a vacation into the hobby equation it works out to around $100 per "date". Gentlemen, if you are inclined to dispose of 150, you can luxuriate in the company of a jaw dropping, top of the food chain, once in a lifetime GFE (except you can afford to do it again), superstar category ts of incomparable beauty. It is a bargain for what you will get in return. And compared to what is available to us here? You be the judge. I think the rate quoted at the outset of this thread was $1,500 per hour. PS - TaTG, hope you were kidding about the "lost wages" cause this is a paid vacation and I was planning to use that cash!

And to have much fun it really does take a week. A day to get there, a day to recover and get your footing, same thing on return and three or four days to fuck your brains out. For which you will spend somewhere between $1,500 and $2,500.
So for that you could have 5 days with girls here, no problem. In fact honey for $2,500 a week Jessica and I will BOTH marry you! And I promise we will be as nice to you as any Thai ladyboy!

Gentlemen, to appreciate what a gem Thailand is, 1 week will not cut it! I recommend no less than a full 2 weeks per visit. My stays are between 18-21 days and I envy my pals who go for a month at a time. Savor the Thai lifestyle and beauty of the country.
From what I've read on TER I dont believe you folks are interested in supporting forced labor, pedophlia, sex trafficking, etc. any more than I am. It does exist in Thailand (just like it does in America) only not on the grand scale Anderson Cooper would have you believe. I've vacationed in Thailand 7 times since 2000 and have never witnessed any of that.

First time? I would want to stay in Bangkok (Dynasty Grande Inn, Majestic Grande) with a side trip to Phuket (Royal Paradise, Salathai) or Pattaya (Areca Lodge) if you have the time. Then branch out to places like Chiang Mai, Phi Phi, or Angor Wat on subsequent vacations. Tons of places to stay, including 4 star hotels for under 70 per night. Next month I'll stay at Salathai in Phuket - it's a virtual resort/half block from the beach that includes airport transfer & free buffet breakfasts @$50 per night incl. all tax & fees. There's a place to fit every budget on the link.
