OK. Maybe I'm just naive, but I read/heard that the TS Club Illusions on Santa Monica Blvd is mostly working girls. Well, I went there on Friday night, and it certainly didn't look like most of the girls were working. Either that, I just didn't get the clues.

I did notice that a lot of the guys would just out and out grab a girl as she walking around. Grapping in such a way that would get you punched in most bars. But other than that, it felt like any other club.

In fact, most of the guys who I saw hitting on the girls, got nowhere. And I rarely saw any girls approaching guys. And when they did, it was usually the young, good looking guys.

So what's the story? Did I miss something? So where is all the hooking up?

I will not speak for any of the other girls there, I'll just give my own thoughts on the matter.

Yes, it may be true that most (?) of the girls there are working girls.  However, they just may not be working THERE.  Sometimes we girls just go there to let our hair down, dance, hang out, meet up with friends, or whatever.  And yes, sometimes to work. If you want to know for sure who is working, hang around until closing, anyone that is looking to hook up will be doing so by 1:59am.

As for the guys?  There seems to be just two kinds of guys at Peanuts. One is the lurker in the shadows that never talks, moves, smiles or dances.  He just stands back there with that "serial killer" stare.  Kinda creeps me out.

The second is the guy that grabs your a** as you walk by and thinks that is all that is needed.  No, "Hello, my name's So and SO, may I buy you a drink?" or anything.  

It shouldn't matter if money is involved or not, being nice and having some class goes a long way.  A lot (but not all) of the guys at Peanuts are cheap.  They are looking for freebies, and STILL they won't even offer to buy a drink or even have some personality.  Guys seem to think that if a girl is working, they don't have to put ANY effort into hygene or dressing or grooming habits.  I met one guy there who seemed nice, but had absolutely the WORST breath!  Just the thought of kissing him made me want to vomit.  I am not desparate.  I don't need that.  

We girls are usually dressed to the nines when we go there, even if we are not looking to hook up, we want to look good.  Guys, you are not going to impress us wearing sweats or shorts & tee shirt and flip-flops.  

I don't want to sound like I'm man bashing.  I'm not.  Just that sometimes the guys at peanuts seem to need a little more help in the "social graces" department.  Hint: watch Queer Eye for the Straight Guy!!!   Take notes!!!  lol  And yes, the young, good looking guys probably get more attention, but that just means if you are NOT young and good looking, you have to have something more to offer, like charm, humor, class, manners and yes, money always helps too.

And like I said, I can't speak for anyone else.  Maybe some girls do like to get groped and maybe they ARE desparate... I'm just not one of them.

I agree with TS Star, being a gentlemen is never out of style. If you offer a lady a drink the worst thing that can happen is she will say no thanks. If a lady takes your offer of a drink the first thing out of your mouth should not be about going home with her. Talk to her like you would anyone else and if she is interested the hint will be dropped very quickly. Also if you like her ask if you can see her outside the club sometime. That is not insulting and if the answer is no, no harm done.

Yes, most of the girls are working girls. The key, as with so much, is to not act like a jerk. If you see a girl who interests you go up to her, compliment her dress, tell her how hot she looks, offer to buy her a drink.  Maybe ask her to dance.  If she likes you at all she'll respond, if she doesn't, well better off with someone else!.  Once you get to know her a little bit, the subject will come around to hooking up and you can take it from there.  Yes, the girls a7969 are "working", but keep in mind they're also often out for a fun time. The hooking up gets more intense at closing, and if you've made contact with a few girls earlier, your chances are good.

How about a TS titty bar where a fella could get a lap dance and stiff, um, I mean stuff.

So which is the better night to go? Monday or Friday? I always assumed Fridays would be the best choice, but the last time I went it was actually kinda slow.

I like to go to 7969 on Monday nights just to watch the crowd.  I'm far from being a slob but I do like to wear sweats and veg out to the techno/dance music.  I'm not cheap either, I often tip each doorman.........but........I kinda think some girls there are very snobby.  It's as if they think you're checking them out for sex when all you may be doing is looking at some clothing or jewelry or a nice look.  Whenever I see a girl that I think looks good I try to say something nice but half the time I get this look like I'm not good enough or I don't measure up, and I'm not even looking to hook up.  It's not like I'm a fat dork either, I have no problem getting either kind of girl.  Sometimes I like to run a test, I'll give a girl a 10 or a 20 so she can buy a drink and I'll see if she brings back the change.  To my surprise I have never been scammed amd everyone I tried this with has always come thru as honest.  Anyway, thats the only part of 7969 that bugs me, other than the show can sometimes be boring.  I will say to all the guys out there, if you are looking to hook up and don't want to wait until closing or going to the Yukon after, all you have to do is sit in the back of the front bar.......keep your eyes open and smile, it will happen.....
