I went to club 7969 on Friday. In the past the show started around 12:30-12:45. I got there around 12:20 and there was no show. Did they cancel it, or are they doing it earlier now?

With the back room closed off and the shows starting at odd times.  Somethings amiss there.

We need a new club.

That's too bad. When in LA I always popped in and had a good time, whether I picked someone up or not. Loved being squeezed in the bar area by an addressive girl, as long is she was passable. Is it just the back room, or have the girls stopped coming? I won't be back that way for awhile, but it still sad to hear these comments about a favorite spot. Any alternatives? I know there are a few places in and around Garden Grove, CA.

Like where and what nights? Any worth the drive from LA?

I have been twice over the last two months and was disappointed each time.  The vibe just seems different.  Yes the back room is now off limits and the midnight show is also lacking excitement.  Very strange because I visited sometime in August and it was fantastic.  The crowd seems much younger - i am not an old timer but i would say early twenties (max).  The familiar girls were not present the last two visits either.

Nightclubs go thru cycles for one reason or another, and I suspect it is no different in the TS nightclub world. I too have seen a huge drop off my last two visits in not only the number of girls who frequent it today, but I've also sensed a drop in the vibe and buzz it use to grab one with. Not only have the numbers of TS girls gone down it seems, but conversely, the number of straights -- both GGs and males has gone up it, not to mention the added male strip club in the back room. It seems like just another club with the TS community, not in the middle as it once did, but relugated to the periphery. My guess is that the club was trying to shake things up in terms of bringing some more revenue in. There is a lot of dead time going on before the action gets going around midnight when the crowd finally gets there.

Let's hope for a comeback, or at least a new venue for the girls and their fans to congregate in once again.

The last time I was in LA in mid August, I visited Anna in Orange County, as I usually do, and she told me about the places near her. She was a little hung over and took longer to ..., anyway she said the place was hopping. I forgot the name of the place, but I am sure most of the girls in OC can give you the name, if you know any.
