Buy a winter coat by the end of Sept or you will freeze your ass off and don't walk alone in downtown Detroit by yourself after dark.  Its always nice to give solid recommendations. Good luck.

Downtown Detroit is ok. Grand River & Livernois area not so much. In fact not much left that I would walk around at night. Just south of the border (8 mile) used to be ok but I even stay out area now. More & more of the crap is also starting to creep north of the border.

Regarding Shelly, I need to hook up with her soon.
