My two cents

When a review is posted for a TS, i get confused reading it.  I mean, a pre-op TS is a man, but he is referred to as a "she".  The session is described as a heterosexual encounter where as it's definitely a homosexual encounter.  No problems with gay sex, but I wish people would treat it the way it should be.  What am I missing here?

1.  A truly feminine TS is a she.

2.  An encounter between a man and a feminine TS is neither heterosexual nor homosexual.

PS  Yes, a cock is a cock.  But I stand by my opinions.  (Also, my favorite TS does not use her cock like a man, nor does she come like a man.)

Your interpretation might work for cross dressing, but does not capture the depth around gender identity and the emotional

sdshyguy:

Sorry its taken a while to write this response but I was worried at first that your post might evolve into another diatribe on the gay/bi/straight issue.  Fortunately it did not.  From your reviews and posts in other forums I see that you’ve been actively participating on TER for almost two years but have only recently joined us here in the TS forum with your two first time posts on 12/28/2006.  Please, let me welcome you to this forum and extend my appreciation for having you join our little discussion.

What I think you were really posting about is that for someone new to TS the terminology is not only confusing but contradictory.  Just like with GG escorts the terminology specific to TS takes a little time to learn and a little while longer to get used to before it becomes familiar, even for veterans of the hobby.

In time you will blow right by all this as you do with the GG terminology.  I even catch myself speeding all the time now.  For example, if I am researching a name or a geography I may pull up a GG ad or website and be reading right along for several seconds before I realize I am reading about a GG rather than a TS (and vice versa).  No worries, but the info does go in a different list/file LOL.

Assuming that you are still checking your old post for additional comments, allow me summarize a little background 411 for you and please forgive me if you’ve already done all this homework.  First of all searching the forum will yield numerous debates, rants and arguments directly on gay/bi/straight issue and related topics.  Here’s just one recent example of a lively exchange on the subject instigated by our very own knowledgeable, self-actualized and self-proclaimed ‘trannychaser’:

Gayness And The Trannychaser/ You Made Me Gay

Here’s a link to one of my earlier posts with some background 411 on TS that, as I’ve said before, I think should be required reading for everybody taking an interest in this community:

Welcome Aboard

I have also posted the following before too, but I’ll say it again, it is very important to be honest with yourself about the origins of your interest in this subject.  The link below is to a post with some text that was originally taken from a website dedicated to “outing” pathological “trannychasers” (not to be confused with our resident expert above – yes I know the terminology is confusing, but we all have to deal with it, okay?):

The original website is no longer active but the real point is to be sure that you are clear about why and what you are seeking here.  You are not only much more likely to find it, but everyone benefits by keeping this community safer and saner.

Good Hunting,

TS Tempted

P.S.  Having said all this, when in doubt about a subject just jump in to the discussions here as you have in the other forums, most of us will show some restraint in responding.  IMHO the only stupid question is the one not asked.
