how can someone who uses side streets and not even the regular highway have any chance on the information highway.
Just playing with words
10 years ago would you have thought the US Post Office would be laying off employees? I think you can thank the internet and free yahoo and gmail accounts for that one, right?
10 years ago, would you ever think that you would book your family vacation and not go down to the local travel agency and thumb through magazines labeled "Cancun", "Mexico", "Italy", etc. I think these are pretty much a thing of the past now that travelocity, orbitz and the like are available.
Well, life really sucks!!!!!!! I drove down Santa Monica Blvd tonight after the Dogers game and I only saw 2 trannie street walkers. 5 years ago you would see a few dozen. You can thank Cityvibe, The Back Page, and Eros for fucking that up!!!!!!
Ha!
LATSDog over and out. Night Night!
Dog, sorry to hear that the street scene is down in LA. I visit when I can, and rely on the internet for setting up my visits. I don't get out much when I do visit, (cruising for dates that is) isn't that like asking for a bust? For me technology is good. Will be out there again later this month to say my good byes to a retiring provider. In fact, you are the one who gave me the heads up she was going to be leaving the business. (Thanks again, by the way)
Still, LA seems to be the place for a TS fan.
Anyway, hope at least you fun at the game.
I don't pick them up but its fun to watch them, thats all. I think if you get caught in LA, the Johnny LE man can seize your car. Not good.
With technology you are committed to a purchase way before you know the product first hand. But you do have the experience (reviews)of others to go by. So that's a good thing.
I would never have entered the hobby without the internet.
I'm with IndianLuvTS, the Internet gave me the info and encouragement I needed for the hobby and for TS babes.
Here in Arkansas, street walkers are kinda scary, and you have to really know where to go. In fact, I don't know of any TS street walkers in Arkansas.
Maybe 10 years from now our hobby will be legalized and monitored? Uh, probably not.
The good news though is that more girls are becoming more fluent with the Internet skills, and maybe we can keep the right-wing fascists from messing up the 'net.
Too bad street walkers can't use Twitter. ![]()
...many of the street walking girls never changed their business strategy once they became part of the information highway...you can't treat an encounter like it's a quickie before the cops come down the secluded street you're parked on...if there was truth in advertising, many of these supposed "FF"/"Passable"/"GFE"/"Not A Clock Watcher" ad girls would stay on the streets where they belong...dfk, Rachel
I think you made a good point there, Rachel. Churn and burn via the Internet. I wonder if EROS ever imagined that it might reduce the street-walking traffic on the 'net? Hmmm, but has it?
I'm just glad that the Internet has led me to sexy and smart girls like you! Kisses, baby! ![]()

At least 20 girls got arrested Friday night.
Thats why it was dead.
I have to agree with Rachel. I've blogged about this before but here it is again for the newcomers.
Back in the old days, BI (Before the Internet) street girls worked the street or bars. Higher class (higher paid) call girls worked the magazine ads or for agencies.
Then in the early 90's came the Internet and a few computer savvy girls set up web sites and started hooking up with other geeks online. Then came TER and Eros and things were pretty good for those in the know. Nobody outside the hobby knew about our game, or cared. The media was busy chasing OJ.
Then came CL and for a few years things were very good. But then every street ho discovered they could post ads from a cell phone or cheap used laptop and they brought the ghetto onto the internet.
A crime wave followed. Pimps trafficking minors. Guys getting ripped off, girls getting killed by psychos, until LE took notice. Then the media discovered it and as we all knows sex sells. So CL was on CNN and now they charge, so the trash moved to other sites or refined their game.
Where will things go next? Well it looks to me like in the short term the quality sites will continue to attract better girls while the other sites will turn into a free for all.
I think we will see semi-private pay to join sites continue to be good places for social networking. But I think the next wave will be private local sites where members (of all sexes) will be vetted in. Sort of a return to the old "swing" clubs of the 80's and 90's.
This is already happening in many urban areas, where members of a web site get together at private homes for parties.
So what does it all mean? I think at the higher end of the dating game it will become more difficult to connect unless one is in the loop. This may lead to an increase in street traffic at the low end.
Only time will tell. Meanwhile I think the cream of the crop is right here on TER!
Have fun,
