LA Times reported today that 7969 club was sold and is being turned into an upscale strip club.

Clubland kingpins Art and Allan Davis just purchased the 7969 club (formerly Peanuts) with plans to turn the West Hollywood hotspot into a high-end gentlemen's club. The duo, who recently sold their interests in the Lounge, Chi and A.D., have also teamed up with restaurateur Richie Palmer, who owns the famed Beverly Hills pizzeria Mulberry Street. The gang plans to open Mulberry Streets in Las Vegas, Honolulu and Santa Monica....

Maybe it's too early to be asking, but when does the conversion take place ?

...My friends' plans fell through last night (car problems on their part) and I could have made it to Peanuts after all. Oh, well.

Don't panic just yet.  Things are still going on as normal for awhile.  Maybe for a long while.

It was announced at Peanuts that it's not true.  An offer was made but no deal went though.

That's what they say, don't know if it's true.  In the meantime.... keep going on Mon and Fri nights.

I would bet money their is a deal on the table. It will take weeks maybe months to close. Standard response, owners do not want to loose business. Also can an old guy like me go to this place I am 50 look 40.

Yes, maybe it is a done deal, but like you say, it may take months to close.
