Of COURSE it's alright to tell the provider that you're nervous! In fact, such disclosures will generally get you a non-rushed session (if she's well-reviewed and has a sane head on her shoulders) and some real tenderness. Chances are she's got her own candles and background music, but unless there's an explicit firehazard [provider lives in cowshed made of wood], there will not be any problems making the room a little more seductive by turning down the electric lights.

I hate hotel lighting, but I like to be able to see...so candlelight and possibly music are always part of my setting the mood.  The more you treat it like a real encounter the less like a paid encounter it will feel, and a lot of the ladies actually enjoy the mood because it helps them to relax also.  It shows you've given it some thought.

It sounds like a great idea as long as you are booking with a gal who is more inclined towards GFE type service. A quickie one-and-done type of gal probably wouldn't be interested in your ideas or the fact that it is your first time. Great response as usual LG, but my wicked side finds me leaning to the contrarian view.  There are those of us who suffer from a condition known as 'retarded ejaculation' (aka anorgasmy), and at least for me the treatment is to contrive a situation of increasing tension.

While a relaxed setting may help calm the nerves and ensure a comfortable evening, some of us a little more jaded types like to instead crank up the tension just a little....

I myself prefer to see the girl in my boss's office during the their lunch break, to line the room with hungry attack dogs, and to have arranged ahead to have the girl's unaware husband in the waiting right outside the door.  For good measure, I also have my mom sit at the desk with a stopwatch, knowing she'll be holding up an Olympic-style score-card based on my performance.

Anyone else prefer a stressful (but safe) encounter over the more relaxed kind?
