But simply this: Surface dirt on someone's body is rarely a symptom of a STD. Someone can be squeaky clean [yeah, remember the Yuppie herpes wave during the early 80s, folks] and be full of viruses, bacteria, etc. in the right places.

Your best weapon in all of this is to educate yourself. Go to the website, click on STDs and read all about them. You will know lots more and can make informed decisions in the future.
