There are literally thousands of women who have actively entered the sugar bowl looking for a sugar arrangement. They are conveniently arranged, sorted and self-documented to facilitate your selection.  

 
What you are considering is the equivalent of leaving a bookstore to find something to read.  

 
Now flip the POV and consider what will happen to her if her manager sees you hitting on her, when she has not indicated any interest in you.  Do you want to risk her job status so you can try (and most probably fail) to rack up another BCD?

There is a young female who is a manager at a trendy  restaurant where I live.  She told she goes to college part time.  I would guess she might be mid twenties. She is very friendly to me when I come to the restaurant. Not a spinner, but not fat in any way. Good potential SB. I have no idea if she even knows what a SB is. My question is how can I approach her to find out if there  any SB/SD  possibilities?  Or am I just thinking foolishly? Do any of you sugar bowl veterans have any thoughts on this?

I think you are barking up the wrong tree.

 
If you like that restaurant a lot, then I would suggest you set your sights on another path to SB-dom.   The woman is being friendly towards you because you are a customer of her restaurant, and nothing more.

Attorney Gloria Allred just called, she said she'll take the young lady's (open & shut) wrongful termination case even before any workplace repercussions even happen.

LOL... ok she probably won't lose her job... but she may have to explain or complain to her manager that that creepy guy just asked her out and won't leave her alone.

This is a serious answer, rochman.  I missed that she is the manager. But that may be even worse! As the manager, she should be keenly aware that her actions on the job are observed by her staff.  And all managers have managers....  

 
But WTF says I'm right about this?  LOL  Guys have been picking up hot women in service jobs since forever. Well, TBH, I've never been able to do that - except for strippers.  

 
So you might as well go for it and see what happens. Worst case, you'll need to find a new place to eat.  Best case, you will find a new place to EAT! :)

We all hear stories (or in some cases happened to us) about turning some hot chick.  What we don't hear as much is the thousands of times this doesn't work out.

Also there are legal consequences when you offer money (stated wrongly it can become a solicitation charge.)  
 .
So you'd really have to start out as a simple dating move and initially incorporate the sugar as gifts etc without a quid pro quo.  You could get into that later after the first successful dates.
