The "Member Since" date is just one more datum for use in vetting a POT.
A 6-year-old profile could be totally fine if she just exited a long-term arrangement or broke up with a boyfriend/hubby and is looking for a new "support resource." Hopefully she will update the text to explain that. But many POT's don't really think about updating text, if they even have some or a lot of text at all.
However, profiles do get hacked/hijacked by scammers. Remember that women do not need to pay for Seeking (though they can) and can leave a profile dormant indefinitely at no cost. If a scammer can hijack an older profile, they will use that older member date to try to look more legit.
So older member dates just mean a little more vetting and additional "logic checks."
1. Does her profile text align with the date?
2. Do her pics support the date (i.e. Can you spot anything in her pics that don't make sense like a landmark that did not exist when she says the pic was taken?
3. Seeking does not allow a POT to change her age shown on the site - though they do not age verify. So if she said was 18 when she created her profile in 2018, it should show her age as 24 in 2024. If she has pics from age 18 at a bar with a cocktail in her hand - red flag. Or if she says something like "I am really 28, Seeking won't let me change" red flag. This is a flag I missed earlier this year when her profile said 24, and her pics were in fact taken when she was 24 and very hot. But when I met her, I found out she was 34 and had not one buy two rounds of baby damage on her tits and stomach.
When/if you start messaging, you can always drop some subtle tests into your chat. I don't mean overt challenge questions like "why is your profile 6 years old?" I mean try to reference something in her pics and see if she knows what you are talking about in her reply. Ex: "Looked at your pics and really like them. Did you manage to get to Notre-Dame when you were in Paris?" She may not know that the Notre-Dame fire was in April 2019. If she was "in Paris" after (or just before) that date you will expect her to mention the fire.
